I'm sorry for your loss. My father passed when I was 17, oddly enough, cigs were his demise, too. Fucking awful way to go. He was first diagnosed with emphysema when he was in his 40s and kept up 3 to 4 packs a day of unfiltered PallMalls and Camels right until he was hospitalized the last time at 61. SOB used to get off the oxygen therapy at home and light up a cigarette still sitting next to the oxygen tank! Then the aftermath, estates and families, that's a joy, too. It's hard. Even if your parent isn't the best on earth, or just a plain old miserable abusive SOB like mine was, dealing with the death financially and emotionally is still painful and exhausting.
Take care of your mom. I know it's a burden but she's probably so lost. I was virtually insane for about four to six months after my mom died, just a total basket case mentally and I readily admit it. I remember I asked one person the same question once a week for four weeks in a row until he pointed out to me what I was doing. I had no memory of previously calling him. I missed bill payments, would burst out crying for no good reason, I was a total mess.
Oh, I'm fine, I've just had some family/financial stuff that's got me so distracted that I can't get my head into the board. I let the Women's Forum know about it when things started up.
I'll probably be able to be back around here more in a couple more weeks, we're starting to settle into a groove

Funny thing is, I used to think Cotto was overrated, and didn't like him. Then he beat Judah, Mosley, and Clottey. I love that guy. He's all guts, and never even complained about Margarito using brass knuckles style/plaster of paris. Dude just fights. Stewart said, that Cotto was fighting 2 low against Pacman, and this limited range of vision, and ability to return fire, due to being off balance. He looked very good against Foreman, very good. However, yeah, he might have a chance at Sergio Martinez, at 154.
I dunno, Mosley, looked so tight, so nervous, and what threw me off, was his inability to overcome nerves. Mayweather, by the late rounds, looked stronger, so much faster, and bottom line, he adjusted. Hell, DLH, did much better, and handled the pressure better than Mosley.
DLH, just said 24 hours ago, the fight is very, very close. However, I think in the end, it will not happen, due to what you just stated.
How bout Martinez vs Pavlik? He looks good, rumor has it Mayweather was contemplating a 154lb match with Martinez, however I think that went awash.

I was in Vegas, then had to head to NYC for holidays, but I was in the Ritz talking to the bartender, on a quiet Sunday morning... I hate Vegas, way too loud for me, but anyway, the dude had served Mayweather 2 or 3 times, and said that he is so arrogant, it's disgusting... vegas peeps don't like hometown hero, I guess.
Mayweather gets my props for doing the right thing though, and fighting a fight he will lose... he's confident, but skeered too... I would think. Finally an opponent, that people expect Mayweather to probably lose.

I know right. Thing is, Mosley got busted for EPO, but I"m not sure what else peeps can take, see urince clears steroids, stims, and doping is really, really rough on the body, so it's not ideal. However, I read that in the Guardian, and they may have exaggerated. Victor Comte, used it on Olympic Athletes, but thing is they can dope at a less regular interval than boxers, who can dope, but is less conducive to healing due to doping.
I'm at a crux. I don't mind too much if he is EPO/HGH/Gear related, but thing is I don't want the cumulative shame that it will incur if he's caught.

I'm up in the air with the Hatton/Pac fight right now. It all depends on how Hatton brings his game plan. Manny is consistent. Hatton with Mayweather Sr. as a trainer may come in different. Hatton has been boxing since he was 5 years old though and his move ahead use his head as his defense is not going to work with Manny (at least I do not think it will). I'd say the odds are 50-50 right now but I will probably change my mind. After watching the DLH/Pac fight a few times I think Manny did extremely well but also Oscar is through. If Oscar were still in his prime it may have been another story. Hatton v. Pac will be a great fight no matter what. Both are in their prime so there are no excuses when one man loses.
The Marquez/Diaz fight was AMAZING. It is incredible how Marquez can utterly suck in the first 3-4 rounds and come back. I like Diaz, he is a nice kid, but he has some work to do before being a great champ. I think the 140-145 division is the hottest right now. So many possibilities. I think Mosley could take Mayweather IF he came in the same shape as he did with Margarito.
I think Margarito is finished. His gloves were padded and that tarnishes his win over Cotto too. I do not see him doing anything big for the rest of his career.

okay here are my predicitions. Mosley vs. Cotto. Mosley, trenned up beats him this time. Cotto, Mosley, Pacman, would beat mayweather. Mayweather in the next 2 years will be exposed as lack of heart. Technician, raw talent, but in reality he does not believe in himself. Not to the extent that the other fighters do. Will/knowledge/speed.... beats this speedy technician.
160 was the weigh in for Mosley. Yes he did look juiced. Trennish is exactly what he looked like. I read an article comparing Australian culture, and this is dying out, now due to Technological knowledge... more outcome than process, that they disdained success and boasting, cheating more than any culture. Our culture puts winning at an alltime high, and cheating is sort of accepted. More or less anyway. I think Mosley was juiced as well. However, I've bought into the culture, and while I don't' publicly support cheating, in my heart, I don't come near as where I should against it. I'm saying, there is something wrong with my views, but with the culture as well.

If Hatton could learn I think it would be a good match with Manny but Hatton walks into punches, and just like you said, looking at the way Manny moves now, he is just simply amazing! The way he darted left and right and tore of DLH was poetry in motion. If Hatton uses his normal style, and Manny comes in like he did against DLH, I think it will be a late round KO (8, 9 or 10) by Manny.
I really want to see Mayweather v. Pac at 140. Manny would tear him up. At 147 I am not sure.

4th round TKO of Hatton. Hatton will not be able to deal with the timing of Pac. Look at Pac's last two opponents, Diaz, and De La Hoya, both great at getting timing down, they never got a clue. Pac and Roach have worked out a relationship that they are working seamlessly, Hatton and Mayweather are working on learning each other out, and yeah they both hate on PBF, but like teaching Hatton to stick and move like PBF, as well as get Pac's timing down. Not a chance. I like Ricky. However, he is going down quicker than peeps think.
