    thanks! eh well I'll trust my clothes and my habits more than the body fat numbers anyways... oh and i think i carry the fat on upper body more than on the lower... i wear a larger size up top.. of course that could also have to do with the damn boobs.

    nope.. 40%, 37%, and 34% were each taken with caliper measurements of lower belly, tricep, and thigh at 24 hr fitness by different trainers and the latest, 27%, was taken with caliper measurements of just lower belly and tricep by a trainer at my college.

    short version because I realized I wrote a frikken tome: Six months ago I had a body fat of 40% today I measured at 27%. I wear pretty much the same size in clothes and while I know I've gained strength, I just can't believe that I actually lost that much body fat % w/o a change in clothing...

    I'm a big believer in a genetic set-point, that some people are mean tot be bigger than others. I think that, perhaps, the first article supports this.     yeah it's 1.5 cups cooked, and .75 cups raw :) I'm not sure why I use kcal sometimes... a weird habit I picked up I guess. In a sense it IS more correct than cal.. but everybody knows what you mean when you use cal, so that's probably a better word to use (can you tell I'm a linguistics major?)
