    the place has changed a lot. training and supp advice always seems to come with someone selling something. probably why i spend most of my time in bookie forum and away from drama. no mean spririted crap there.
    I'm real proud of the kids. We won without our captain, the best player in the league and a really good defenseman. They really worked hard to pick up the slack. Nice.

    Depending on what spiritual philosophy there are considered to be as few as three parts of self or as many as nine.     St-Patrick's Day Parade has a long history in Montreal. It's a non political, everyone welcome weekend without the bull shit nationalist/linguistic/political attachments we're so famous for. Even St-Jean Baptiste Parade is becoming more inclusive so that's a good sign.

    I didn't mean to imply that anyone who has to put a family member into a home is in any way wrong. Believe me, I'm a neurology transcriptionist, plus both my ex husband's grandfather and my current husband's mom ended up in the nursing home, I have nothing but empathy for the who situation. We need to work, they need care, and viritually nobody gets long term care insurance that will pay for the aids. My point was that when it comes to life, quantity isn't necessarily the single benchmark for success.

    I listen to so many stories of people who are in nursing homes, they show up in my doctor's offices with no family members, no medical records, the nurses at the home have no idea who these people are, and the patient's are completely befuddled and it's one of my biggest fears, seriously. It's one of the reasons the work is wearing me down, in fact.

    Gym class was a trauma for me. I was a fat kid, uncoordinated as hell because I was tall to boot, plus I have perception problems that make catching/hitting/kicking virtually impossible for me. I finally got smart in high school and had my chiropractor write me out of gym class for the rest of my life :lmao:

    I had this vibe, y'know? But when you're a 13 year old kid WTF do you know? Then one day in gym class (I clearly remember, it was "square dance" day), she pinched my ass! I shit you not! Then I really started making a concerted effort to avoid gym/showers/her. I started running out of excuses and started enlisting my mother, I'd have her write me notes to get out of gym class altogether.

    There were more than a few pervs in that school district. Thankfully, we moved when I was in 9th grade but it was an experience, to say the least.

    I think just about everyone has had at least one coach or gym teacher like that *shudders* Mine was my Jr. high gym teacher, if she wasn't a diesel dyke I don't know what is. Frigging LEERED at us in the showers :sick: and showers were MANDATORY. Didn't matter if we'd done anything to break a sweat or not. Fucking creepy.
