    squatting and hip rotation

    Do you mean hip tilt? Hip rotaion has nothing to do with hanstring flexability. Hip rotation occurs on the transverse plain. Any way, I think I know what you mean and yes just keep squating and make contineual effort to improve your form. No weight increases till it correct.
