    Apple Cider Vinager

I read somewhere that it's supposed to help increase muscle glycogen uptake. Sort of like ALA. Don’t know much more than that. It’s cheap and certainly not unhealthy if used in reasonable amounts…couldn’t hurt to give it a try.

    Taking a stab at HST...

Hey casualbb, it sounds like you've tried HST. What are your thoughts on it? I find the theory behind HST intriguing. Conventional training methods have definitely stalled my progress. I'm currently trying out the Dual Factor method, which is very similar to HST. After reading about HST, I...

Alright FINAL ANSWER, when should I do HIIT cardio!!

From the research I have read, HIIT type training is superior for fat reduction mainly because it stimulates the release of testosterone and GH...good for burning fat and saving muscle. Sprinting created something like a 300% increase in testosterone levels...GH response was similar. Both...

BINGE EATING DISORDER from dieting !!

I've been through the binge thing in the past and now have things pretty much under control. Here are some things that I try to turn to when I feel like bingeing: Diet Soda (If you drink one quickly the carbonation bloats your stomach and makes you feel full...just like a binge) Sugar Free...

    ALA and Carnitine doses

I've been taking acetyl-L-carnitine for a couple of weeks now. I had a little mixup with the Beyond a Century...I thought I ordered ALA, but got carnitine instead. I decided to give it a try. Haven't noticed anything yet. I won't be ordering more in the future. Just got some more ALA...

    Too much?

I doubt you're overtraining unless your nutrition and rest are piss poor. You've probably just reached the point where your body has adapted to this routine, so you need to mix things up to stimulate new growth.

    Eating before workout

As far as pre-workout meal timing goes, I've found it easiest to gauge it by eating a big bowl of Cheerios or Rice Crispies about 20 minutes before I hit the weights. The high GI carbs enter my system fast and give me the energy I need to lift hard. This always works well for me.

    Protein Baffling Me...

There are a few brands out there with a casein protein. Met-rx protein-plus for example. Basically anything with milk protein will work. Milk protein is a combination of casein and lactabumin proteins. Skim milk and cottage cheese are good sources of casein protein.

How much do you pay for chicken breasts?

Wow! You guys pay a lot for your chicken! I can almost always get nice butterfly breasts for $1.99/lb. My local grocery store puts them on sale for $1.49/lb quite often...I always stock up when they do! I'd go broke spending $4/lb!!!!

    A French Response

Without the threat posed by 250,000 troop sitting at his doorstep, Saddam wouldn't even be cooperating as little as he is (which is a complete joke!). If the French (and others) want to play Saddam's games and stay with the useless inspections, let them pay the HUGE bill to keep our troops...

    got milk?

Personally, I think milk gets a bad rap. If you're a competitive BB'er, then you might want to stay away from milk pre-contest. Most BB'ers claim it makes them look smooth (water retention?), but unless you have less than about 6-8% BF, I doubt you'd be able to tell any difference. Milk...

Fats & Carbs in the same meal?????

Actually, No! As long as you are in a caloric deficit, then the fat would NOT be more easily stored. You can't lose weight unless you're burning more calories than you're eating. Therefore, it doesn't really matter what type of calories you consume, because they are going to be burned, not...

    Carb and Fat seperation

I have read that blood sugar levels rise and fall in 3-4 hour cycles, starting with a meal. If you are eating five or six small meals/day, then you can alternate carb/protein and fat/protein meals every 3-4 hours. If you plan on doing this, then I think you've have the right idea by keeping...
