Has anyone tried or have any info on Alacen 894 whey protein from NZ? They have it at the store up the street but I can't find any helpful information about it. Good, bad, indifferent?
This is kind of out of left field but I'm hoping that someone else has come across something similar.
I'm training this guy currently who has the fitness goal of getting leaner, but he does 2 to 3 1/2 hours of cardio per day as conditioning for endurance car racing. I have not seen this before...
Pressing and draining it will help keep it solid. Then you can stir fry it, bake it or add it to whatever you want. Also makes a decent substitute for yogurt in smoothies if you don't like diary.

You'd do yourself a big service to actually figure out how many total calories you're getting each day. Write down everything you eat and the amount for a few days and use FitDay or the USDA website to figure out the actual content of what you'r intake is. The sandwich isn't total junk, but...
Add more unsat fats to your diet. More cardio will just burn into muscle, especially if you have 15 pounds you want to lose, not just the last 3 or 4. But without more detail on what you're actually eating it's hard to comment on specifics.

Don't weigh yourself daily. Water weight fluctuation alone can account for up to 10 pounds day to day. Weekly or bi weekly would give you a better gauge of progress.
"Burning fat" just means that stored fatty acids are released into the blood stream to be used by the body for fuel in the absence of sufficient glucose, the same way that food would be broken down for energy if you ate before working out or doing something active.
It's still pretty slushy, but I use egg protein powder too, so that thickens it up some. I wouldnt use less than 1 1/2 c per package or it's too thick and heavy (for me anyway).
