    Strengthening the Triceps

Tricep hell 5 super sets of 2 exercises, 10 reps per set for each exercise. With less rest and weights. Last time I did these I did pushdowns and then db floor extensions. Decent enough work. It is called the tricep hell program, Chris Taylor made it popular. As for specific exercises I...

    Pull-Throughs???

reverse hypers Testosterone.net has a couple of articles that show ways of improvising reverse hypers. The easiest way is to get into a regular hyper bench backwards. Perhaps backing it up to a low pulley so you can improvise some resistance. Or use a db between the feet.

    bp, sq, dead records

deadlifts Gary Heisy pulled the 925, but I also read he gave 990+ a ride once when he was trying to win some nationals or another. The 925 is the oldest record, set back in 92. I think only Mark Henry and maybe one other has pulled 900 since then. Coan and the others did it before Heisy...

    How to improve grip strength?

grip Grip is about want to. You have to want it bad enough. That is how you hold on to the bar. Want to and it will happen. Have that iron will and the iron will stay in your hands. Have a straight line from your heart to your hands. Because when that bar hurts like a mother and your...

    Dimmel

not much help I read it a few years ago in a PLUSA article. There was one in about 97(I think) about dropping weight if you are a super. So I do think it was weight or heart related, but I may be confusing him with another lifter. I could get over 300 fairly easily, but I don't know if I...

    Leg curl

One leg work, Cubanito Start with step ups, gradually adding depth. In no time you'll be doing one leg squats. Right now I am doing step ups that are just a little below parallel. By that when my leg is on the ground and my other leg is on the step it is at a little more than legal depth. I...

    i Need Deadlift help

What he said yeah, what grimmer said. I don't use a belt a good percentage of the time. I might wear it a bit more on squats but on deadlifts I just usually go beltless or don't tighten the lever on my Inzer Lever belt. Even on rack pulls I've been known to go beltless if I feel ok. A tight...

    Here's some funny shit!!!

Me too I have had 2-3 blow outs over the years. Always an embarassing experience. What pisses me off is it usually ruins a decent workout. But once or twice I have just went home and changed and then come back to the gym. This time of year I usually wear sweatpants. It ain't much of a...

    Deadlifts off platform

Maybe It may throw your mechanics off a little, but odds are the strength increase will more than compensate. You have built the raw strength where you need it, now what you need is technique work. I would probably reccomend keeping up with the pulls off a platform, but then throwing in some...

How many are so determined that you feel your life revolves around PL??

I need to be But my shift sucks ass, the only power gym in town closed, i lack good discipline. I have alot of excuses right now. As for family, I am single so more of my time is mine, but I have trouble getting good focus in my basement. I'd really like to be able to really focus on my...

    Dimel Deadlifts???

Don't forget the higher reps. It is usually done for like 20 reps at maybe 40-50% of your dl max. The higher number would be for us beginners and less accomplished lifters. The lower number would be for more elite type lifters.

    Sumo or Conventional

Good point Sometimes I just think too much and forget to just lift the damn bar. You can over do your technique and set up.

    ATTENTION reverse hyper/web cam owners

Eye bolts Like that link I posted. At home this is the same basic setup I have. At the gym(the fuckers had to go out of business) I used to belong to it was a standard pivot arm. Though not a LOuie Simmons model, I think they had it custom made. I used more freewheeling form and was right...
