    who needs training partners? no need to go to failure that much anyway. I go to failure on 1 set, once every 4th week as a test after a small deload. you need to get volume in at a given rep range and weight to create an adoptive reponse from the body, going to failure isnt needed.

    look at a 1 rep max chart, as your 1rm goes up so does your total reps at a given weight. when you are stronger a given weight will feel lighter and not tax the muscle as much, this allows you to lift the weight for more reps. the further something is from your max the more reps you can do...

    you can tone with light weights, but you will look bigger and fuller doing 5x5 with a heavy weight, then say 4x10 with a much lighter weight. dieting wont hurt heavy weights if you take in alot of protein and are not doing an extreme diet.

    Hate to break the bad news to you, but you are not going anywere with that routine. your doing 25 sets on mon, 28 sets on sat. never going to happen. you have to many exercises and no direction with them. it seems you just put in exercises you like. i see no reason for some of the combos...

    How strong can you get from plain ol' 3x5? (naturally)

    as long as you conintue to use periodization you will get stronger. force the body to adapt then change the stimlus and your strength will continue to grow. But, at some point 3x5 will not be enough stimlus as you become advanced, you may need more volume to get an adaptive response from the body.
