HIT cardio is the best for losing body fat. I read something really interesting about it in my college textbook. As soon as I get home maybe I will pull it out and post it. They did a comparison of the amount body fat and lean body mass that was burned off using both HIT and normal cardio methods.
So instead of doing 5x5, you do 5x3, then you remove one of the accesory exericises and only do one for each muscle? That would cut down the sets quite a bit as well as save time. If that really works as well as the actual 5x5 routine then I would certainly consider. Only doing 6 sets for cheast...
So are you referring to doing the pushups during the last part of the 5x5 workout? I would obviously have to do more than 8-11 of them but I guess that could work. The purpose of these two workouts was for me to build up strength and endurance.
I was looking for a little advice on combining two different types of workouts. I am currently on Needsize's 5x5 program which is working out great, I am going to start on some Military type program that will incorporate things like pushups, pullups, situps, and crunches. These exercises are...
Another question, if I am going to be taking in protein for 40% of my diet is the BCAA really needed? Won't I get all the amino acids I need from all that protein? After reading a couple of other threads from earlier in the year this topic had come up once in a while but I couldn't really find a...
I have been reading a lot about both of them and I decided to go ahead and try the NYC before you had even replied to this post. I figure that a single tablet of this NYC would be the equivalent to a cap of ECA, is this correct? This will be the first time I have ever taken any kind of...
Ok, thanks for clearing all of that up for me. I was over at proteinfactory.com looking for BCAA but I didn't see any ECA stacks anywhere. Is there someplace in particuar that you recommend getting ECA from?
Ok, one more question for ya. If the purpose of ECA is just to provide an extra boost for the exercise then why would you recommend taking it twice a day instead of just before every workout?
I have never really been interested in supplements and the only reason I had considered these two has because I had thought that the 2 together minimized muscle loss while keeping fat loss at normal levels. This is especially important to me because of my last experience with early morning...
I have arrived to some sort of a diet plan but I still have a few questions. I was thinking about the Isocaloric diet or even a 40/30/30 split with carbs/protein/fat. Calories will be somewhere between 2000-2500 each day. Last time I did empty stomach/morning cardio 5 days a week and lost a lot...
Yes there is a difference. In situation number 2 the person is not only burning calories but also improving their cardio health. 45 of minutes of cardio pre-workout would take up too much of my energy and my lifts would suffer though. I personally think that number 2 would be the best solution I...
