Where to get reasonable priced speaker stands???

All I need left to complete my kick ass home theater experience are some goddamn speaker stands. I can't seem to find a good set for anything less then ~60 pair. I need 4 satellite stands and 2 for my front 4 lbers. Now I know i can get some for less, not sure why the ridiculous markup. Hook me up nyggs

I have some sweet glass stands on my wall, part of my 11 speaker setup. I know I got a good deal on them but I can't remember where right now.

Glass shelves would be cool but the way my furniture and room is setup would require the stands. This is only a 1-2yr setup too so it doesn't have to be anything fancy. It seems all they sell are high end speaker stands. Fug it, I might just have to make my own

Kinda random but I scan Craigslist if I need something specific and sometimes it pays off bigtime. Just a thought

Sorry...can't help you; the stands my rear Bowers&Wilkins are standing on weren't cheap. Then again, I didn't shop around...I was so damn anxious to get my dream system in that I just bought the expensive ones at the store where I bought the speakersI t(hink they count on that, hence the clearly bloated markup). One thing though; will they standing on hard flooring or carpet? Cuz if they are on carpet, you should look for stands that have the spikes that screw into the bottom so they're firmly anchored into the carpet.

Fuck that bullshit. I had a window ac unit up for sale once on craigslist and the amount of trash that I encountered was enough. I donated it the next day...reminds me, I need to write that shit off

I have had to catch myself from doing that same impulse buy. I have hardwoods so no need for pointed stands. I'm seriously thinking about making some out of agarwood...fug it

I found some at Amazon that were cheap as fuck but still pretty reasonable, sturdy, functional, and not ugly. Lemme see if I can find them again...

How tall do you need them to be, and how big are the speakers?

Oh they don't have to go too tall...3 ft or so would suffice. The front speakers are: Dimensions (W x H x D) 6-3/16" x 17-1/16" x 7-7/8"

the surround speakers are: Dimensions (W x H x D) 6-7/8" x 10-7/16" x 4"

Generally you want the tweeters to be around ear level.

Oh, and avoid the Sanus stands made from wood, they're crap. Their metal ones are okay.
