How many of you here believe in God, but have turned your backs on him? Or have you

Re: How many of you here believe in God, but have turned your backs on him? Or have y

^^^ Yeah guys! Don't make StrongMo mad.

He'll ramble some weaksauce shit-talk, then proceed to post himself into a corner and ultimately end-up embarrassing himself.

Oh wait. That can be entertaining. Carry on please.
Plunkey your pompadour believes in God, it told me the other day, God even told me you had the most awesome popadour since Buster Poindexter. Your hair and God are on the same page bro.

Don't blame God because the sex change and hormones are not working out fast enough for you.

bwahahahaha

Would it have killed you to just stay out of the thread considering it was a question directed at believers?

I spent a lot of years being angry at God. I had a lot of pretty terrible things happen to me and during that time I prayed and sought comfort, guidance, to feel his presence carrying me through. I felt nothing. I didn't turn away from believing, I just took on a, "If god wants nothing to do with me, I want nothing to do with him" approach. I'd also seen a lot more of the awful institutional side of religion than most do, and was just completely put off.

That changed last April and I have let go of years of anger. I had an experience that rocked me to my core that I'm not comfortable sharing with people who would think me a fool for it. But it completely brought me back to God and since then my faith has been a guiding force for me and a huge part of my life.

I'd answer your other questions but it opens me up to getting dragged into a debate I have no desire to take part in.

If believers do not try to spread the word through our own trials, then our wittness is nothing in the eyes of God. Don't debate just tell them how it is for you and what they are missing out on.

Brah, I'm not in the business of trying to change minds. Some of the guys here don't play nice. Face to face if one of them engaged me I'd be fine. Here all that will happen is me getting frustrated and upset.

I understand and you are right. I appreciate your belief and have had some similar experiences, maybe I can PM you about the defining moment for me with God and even thou I am rough around the edges, I know he has a purpose in my life, cause I am here and other who were there are gone. He brought me from a place that I should have never been brought from, without the intervention of God, I would be dead. I should be dead and still I am here, for what reason I am not certain other than it was his will that I live.

I had a similar experience. Sure, PM me. I'll return the favor.
