I've run 3 cycles using primo, deca, sustanon, dbol, drol.. PCT products, etc.
I've come up with the bad and the good about AAS use. researching online and on forums seems like I am not the only person to experience these good and bad reactions to AAS use.
first the good:
1. being able to lift way more weight then most everyone in my gym .. I never thought I would be able to bench >300 and warmup with 250. without AAS this would not be possible for someone who is my height 5' 6".. other guys who are 6feet tall at the gym are lifting 150.
2. building muscle: i put on 3/4 inch on my biceps in 6 weeks on cycle. lets face it, naturally I would not be able to grow my biceps that quickly. and its not like I am not an experienced lifter, been lifting for 12 years..
3. recovery: I can do supersets, Weider workouts, back to back days of tough workouts. it would be much harder without those extra red blood cells to push recovery
4. confidence. no explanation needed.
the bad:
1. used to have 1-2 bowel movements per day. now I have 4-5. I've read online AAS can change your bowel movements, well it sure has. this is a problem, especially considering i HATE public restrooms and its kinda embarassing to dissapear for 10 minutes to take a dump when you have company or you are at someones house as a guest.
2. aggression: I'm a mellow guy but I sometimes feel like I want to fight and argue with people on cycle. looking back I wish i could apologize for being a punk, but I don't think they would accept my apology.
3. emotional changes: I have felt suicidal on cycle. and I have felt really really good on cycle. both extremes. AAS has definately caused my moods to swing.
4. pee-pee issues: towards the end of cycles and into PCT my pee-pee doesn't work as good as it does on cycle. much like 3, i go from one extreme to the next instead of being consistent.
5. insomnia: especially with dbol, this effects my life in many ways. not a good thing, i've never suffered from insomnia until AAS.
6. blood pressure spikes: only when I was running deca with dbol together did i have this problem and it was very brief. the water weight was the reason. for heavier guys you need to be careful and monitor yourself.. on my current primo/sustanon cycle my blood pressure has been normal.
7. de-hydration: you want to run a diuretic? well be prepared for the sides that come with it. I chose to run a very small amount of adex and for brief periods, but it made me very thirsty anyway
lots of posts about people debating whether they want to try AAS, well there are pro's and con's to everything including this. hope this post helps.
for experienced AAS users feel free to add to this list.. there are more things but these are the things off the top of my head I've experienced. I'm sure TREN users can come up with much more things lol
