The most brutal battle in gaming history: Kratos vs. Hercules

Hercules voiced by none other than....Hercules.

meh..that's a bit of an overstatement. i thought cutting hermes legs off was pretty gangster and sick.

cool to see him in the game, although he's actually "Herecles" in greek mythology.

btw that whole hype of that g4/gtech whatever TV preview you showed was kinda bogus. As far as the last level/end of the game being "one people will talk about for a long time". if anything, i thought the first level was the best IMHO

I actually said out loud "holy shit!" when he kept pounding his face into mush until the floor gave way under them, just pure brutality.

Yeah I read the modern Western world identifies more with the Roman spelling of his name because it was always more popular.

I haven't finished the game yet, been trudging through on Titan. I heard a lot of people were disappointed with the ending but I'll have to see for myself before judging.

Was awesome sauce.

Reminded me of that Russian murder flick on the net, which wasn't so awesome sauce.

I've said it once and i'll say it again. GOW is the best game period.

The scenes, to me, are always solid. There were a few scenes on the first GOW that were pretty weak but this is bada$$.

meh, game play looked stupid and repetive. I could have stood to see a few tiger uppercuts. The little cutscenes were the best part of that video. and when did hercules become 12 feet tall and green? this game is so "meh" to me, it's like the madden games....

It'd have been better if he had a few more moves to throw you off his patterns, but with all those other minions running around it's tough enough as it is on the harder difficulty.

The game doesn't take itself too seriously, it's more fantasy focused, hence the 12 foot tall Hercules, glowing orbs, etc. Probably a good thing because I doubt the real "Titans" of Greek mythology would've been this huge or cool to fight-

The sense of scale and old school feel of the combat, platforming and puzzle solving is what makes these games so good. It's not for everyone but it's definitely the king of the hack n slash/action adventure genre.

Not sure where Hercules looked green though? Might have been the lighting. Although that did get me thinking that a Hulk vs. Hercules fight would be pretty badass too lol.
