The plastic squirt bottle thing I use feels a bit like you're drowning too but I swim a lot and the feeling of some water getting up the nose doesn't bother me. My husband totally freaks out though when he uses it.
I have a semi cold, I have an awful cough with phlegm 
that's my only disgusting symptom

what is worse when they are dry and cursty or when your nose runs like a tap?
