You guys got them? We kindof got one but stupid rules that bars can get around them. I'm for the smoking ban, even when I use to smoke it was annoying and it's 5000x more annoying

i think they are bullshit. obviously not smoking inside is a good idea, but if i own a private business and i want to allow smoking indoors that should be my call. if someone has a problem with smoke, then don't give me business.

It's been a long time now (5 years maybe?). It's now really weird when I travel and visit the rare city where you can smoke in restaurants/bars. Never a big fan. I also like how this ban helps pick up skanky smoking chicks (i.e. smurfy) when they all herd outside the bar 20 times a night like little void fillinf smokepigs.
double standard with cigars for some reason, just as nasty and if you are under 35 you look like a dbag trying to hard

well as an avid cigar smoker (for probably a good 10-12 years now), it's pretty silly.
i need to have one tonight, been feenin. can't wait another 5 years for when i'm officially not retarded for smoking one.

There are a lot of cities around SoCal which ban all public smoking, and even have banned it in apartment buildings. I wish they'd ban it on any street or highway, as I hate, HATE it when I'm driving behind a smoker and that stink gets into my air vents and into my nose. I'd rather ride in a NY cab with a sweaty Mideastern driver who ran out of soap in '03, and forgot to put socks on.

Would really suck to pay good money to go to a concert or movie and be forced to breath 2nd hand smoke because the theater owners were sympathetic to smokers. I had to do that not too long ago, my favorite band was playing in a bar that allowed smoking and the thing is, this band very rarely comes to my area. By the end of the evening I reeked, me, my clothes, my coat, my hair, uuggh.
It's bad enough having to hold your breath when you walk into/out of a building where the smokers lurk.
I'm a former heavy smoker but now I catch an unsuspecting lung full of cigarette smoke and it's a bad scene. It's almost like I've become allergic to the stuff. I remember when I was a smoker, I thought people who walked past me and starting coughing were always putting it on. Shoes on the other foot

I think it should be illegal. Seeing as I live in a nanny-state anyway, the government should go one step further and ban them.
Canada bitches and moans about how smokers drive up health-care costs, but happily takes their tax money.
I don't give a shit about whether it gives impetus to the black-market, we already have booming business in illegal native cigarettes.
I think the government should make a decision for once, and not be so namby-pamby about it all.

excessive tax is illegal and if we just jacked up pricing there would be an uncontrolled amount of black market sales of cigs.
p.s. KB- what is your fav cigar? I haven't had one for a couple years but use to smoke them
bino- don't jump my bones, I usually smoked cigars on my back deck reading by myself, not trying to look " hard"
