You shouldve seen it high, it will change your life forever.
Pretty good film. I admit, I did not fully understand it until I read interpretations online afterwards. I enjoyed it though. Excellent use of Mad World, too.
that is all.
Why the long holdout?
I know I am the only person who did not enjoy that movie. I saw it once, sober.
I wanted to watch it again but the pain of watching it once was enough.
I just do not get it and I am into off the wall flicks.

You ever read about it online? The full explanation helps a lot. I didn't "get it" either and I typically always 'get' those types of movies.
it's better java. wouldn't say stoner movie. more of a psychological thriller kind of ala fight club. i would compare it to something hitchcock would put out.
it's one of those movies you can watch hundreds of times and still learn a new thing every time you watch it.
don't watch the sequel though. i hear it was very, very bad and i figure it would ruin the first one if you saw it. i hear it didn't even have the same actors.
Great Flick!!!
I'm gonna get on teh weedz this weekend and go see Where The Wild Things Are.
Iggy, I highly doubt it would have been a huge hit. It's too off the wall to be a huge hit - not mainstream/watered down enough. But definitely a cult classic.
It's not for everyone, people. If you like confusing movies that have you thinking "I don't know wtf is going on....but I'm enjoying it", then you'll like this. Like I said, I'm usually really good at figuring out movies in my head (like memento, no country for old men, etc.), but this one was a challenge. If I didn't read about it online, I wouldn't have put it all together. But then again, I'm not a samoth type science nerdvirg.

what?
there was some serious analysis to be had in that movie, bro.
There was some, but nothing that deep.
fuck dude, pimp steez money dick.
CASH THAT CHECK!!!!
seriously? I heard it wasn't very good and the book stunk. Nothing like watching a flick about a kid with ADD when I'm surrounded by them everyday! Amazing it got a caldecott award, but then again Obama got the nobel. There's no accounting for taste.
Memento ruled

I still haven't seen The Machinist..... Wasn't that te one you told me about?
I read the book in elementary school and I enjoyed it then.
The graphics look bad ass in the trailer and there is an IMAX theatre right down the street from me. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but I will prolly never go.
In all fairness the book did stink from my view point. There are 10 lines in the book. Since the movie was coming out I decided to read it to the little kids during library time. My animation on this one failed! The award was for the graphs in the book. I'm going to pass on this one![]()
No Country was bad ass. It impressed me so much I read the book. Cormac's novel The Road is a great read too. I beleive it was getting made into a movie. Not sure what happened though.
i just rented it last night cus of this thread, great soundtrack, great to blze to (as everything in life), but yeah I didn't really understand the whole "time travel" phylosophy pre-hand so I had really not much idea what some characters purposes where (the fat asian chick).
Even after reading some of the explanations online, they all seem to be a bit different, I might watch it again
good looking out, can't believe I dodged this one
