Six more days to download Windows 7

Why would I want to screw up a perfectly good computer?

It's looking to be a big improvement over XP, not to mention Vista.

I have about 4-5 burnt iso's for my family and friends
and product keys

sending one out to Spywizard too

how big is the download again? i dont remember, I need to go get a flash drive big enough to fit the iso

OSX is a POS

you need way more than 2.3 gigs

google flash drive windows 7 install

OSX is a POS? Last week you told me you loved it

W7 kicks ass

lol@ vista

I downloaded it the other day and I love it. Im using a dell mini laptop so it doesnt have all the bells and whistles as far as speed and such and windows 7 is running smooth as anything. you dont need a flash drive to install. i downloaded it to my hard drive and installed it from there. but keep in mind it wouldnt let me upgrade from XP i had to clean install. for some reason it popped up during the install i couldnt upgrade. i didnt care for doing the clean install since i just bought this laptop and didnt care cause i didnt have any files on it i needed to back up or not want to lose. make sure you back up any files you dont want to lose before installing windows 7.

you downloaded to an external hard drive I am assuming
you can't download and install it directly from microsoft on to your HD inside you computer. If you did, that is the first I've heard

it needs to be done with either
1)iso burnt disc
2)USB flash
3) external HD

no the download file is 2.3 gigs.

windows 7 is reformatting your ntfs file system for you and wiping it out????

i dont own an external drive. well i do but i lost the power cord in the move to my new place. but yes you can download it and install it from the same hard drive i downloaded it to. it just wouldnt let me upgrade from xp but do a clean install instead.

the icons are a little big, but very snappy on a 1.6 Ghz Atom processor, 2 Gigs of ram, and a 64GB solid state hard drive.

I doubt Vista would have even functioned on a 1.6 single core processor let alone been quick.

Give it a week or two Chris, I did a dual boot so mine was different but I never touch XP now. It's as good as gone now, I'm sticking with 7.
