B6/Vitex

I heard taking B6 or vitex will help reduce the puffiness in nipples, is this correct? I took a cycle of havoc and noticed that my nipples looked puffy and stuck out some. It got annoying so i went to the doctor to check it out and he kind of laughed at me because it was nothing lol. But i hate having the puffy nipples because they stick out of my shirts and sometimes make it look like i have man boobs lol. I'm also pretty lean so i wouldn't think it could be fat storage so i think it may just be extra levels of estrogen or something. So do you think taking B6/vitex will help reduce the puffiness?

Since vitex increases prolactin, I doubt it.

If B6 lessened it, nobody whotook a multi would have puffy nipples.

Nope, an anti e, less, food and/or surgery are the only options.

vitex actually decreases prolactin not increase

That's actually a supplement marketing misnomer. Technically, Vitex is classified as an anti-androgen. It was given to Monks to decrease sex drive. Hence, the name CHASTE-berry.

B6 and Zinc both are supposedly effective at reducing prolactin levels, which supposedly reduces 5-ar enzyme.

I had never researched Vitex. I did find a Pubmed study citing a "significant" reduction in prolactin levels when given in higher doses of 480mg/day. The opposite was true at lower doses, with an increase in prolactin. This may be the reason for its use as an anaphrodisiac for monks. It also appears to affect dopamine levels like bromo and cabergoline. It is contraindicated with those two drugs.

It interestingly has a high affinity for the u-opiate receptor.

If it is an anti-androgen, I wonder if there are any uses for it for BPH or hair-loss.

Vitex lowers FSH. I have read it does work to lower prolactin/progesterone. Vit B6 will work too along with L-Dopa. Try 400-600 mg of Vit B6 and 1000mg of Vitex. It could help :)

Interesting. It also raises LH and has been recommended as a treatment for BPH. This is an herbal supplement with a very wide range of effects that seem to be largely dose dependant.

I've seen PP recommend it with 1-Tren. Makes sense.

Mucan Puriens is the one herb that will lower prolactin but you have to be careful with it. I wouldn;t touch Vitex. And read my statement about B6 again.
