Resvida Resveratrol?

I was at Costco the other day and picked up a "Grape Seed - Whole Grape and Resveratrol" supplement. It contains:

Grape Seed Extract (Vitis Vinifera) (Seed) 100 mg
(standardized to 85% [85mg] polyphenols)
Grape Skin Extract (Vitis Vinifera) (Skin) 37.5 mg
(standardized to 45% [17mg] proanthocyanidins)
Grape Extract (Vitis Vinifera) (whole fruit) 12.5 mg

Resvida Resveratrol 15 mg

Is this the same resveratrol that is in Sustain Alpha and the other similar products?

I'm taking two a day, which equals 30 mg Resveratrol a day, is there any real benefit to this?

Grapeseed extract is not real resveratrol and resvida is synthetic resveratrol. Bioavailability of resveratrol is poor so 30mg is squat.

Pretty much he is right. Of course there is some benafits to taking it in oral forum and mega dosing is even better. For the most part topical trumps all on this one.

Oral resveratrol should be 250-500mg daily. You can find 250mg caps of resveratrol.

15mg or 30mg is pointless really.

A mere 30mg of Resveratrol taken sublingually, or by buccal administration, has been shown to be equivalent to 250mg taken orally. I would expect transdermal delivery to be similarly effective as sublingual.

the problem with sub lingual is its half life compared to topical. quick rise and fall. Where as topical is absorbed over time and oral is digested and metabolized over time.

Very true. Which means you have to dose more frequently, and you still get spikes. I was more referring to how much more easily it is absorbed by sublingual and transdermal delivery, over oral. I don't want to turn this into another PP thread, but I have to say, the more I research and hear feedback, the more I am impressed with PP's products. As far as I know, PP is still the first and only company offering topical Resveratrol products out there. Which goes to show Eric did his research. I like his approach.
