When to use belt

I've been thinking about this when doing deadlifts. Just wondering if I should start using a belt on the final set or not.

Every week I do my deadlifting 5x5. When I complete that, I'll increase the weight by 10 pounds and go again next week.

On the last set/last 2 sets, should I be using a belt. Or is a belt only necessary for singles and triples?

Get ready for another belt controversy.

I predict at least 3 pages of posts.

I wear a belt after I have completed my warmup sets.

wearing a belt is stuppid You will never develop a functional core if you wear one. If you can't lift what's on the bar without a belt, then you shouldnt be lifting it. Belts are cheater gear just like bench shirts, cleats, and helmets. Belts are for looosers!

I read this one before the others.

Good one. Got my cardio in for the day just thinking of my response.

Thanks!

i never wear a belt. they make me feel like my guts are going to pop out while doing the lift. plus on the controversial side, i like my core to get more work.

There you go stirring the pot.

I might up my prediction on how far this will go.
