I'd try the nutrition board for supplement questions. The big brains on that float around there more. As far as your ideal weight, well, what is your ideal? I'm 6'1" and I would never want to weigh less than 240. The BMI chart tells me I should be around 205-210, but the body-mass index is largely 19th century bullshit. Your body fat percentage is a way, way better indicator of your overall health as well as a much better predictor of your health in the future. For example, everyone you see in the NFL is overweight, obese, or even morbidly obese according to BMI. Sure, that makes sense for the 0-line, but you are going to tell me a shredded wide-out or tight-end is obese because they are over the BMI. BS! Body fat tell the story.

So, the question you need to answer is what would you like your body fat to be, and how big do you want to be? If you want to be slim and trim, the your BMI figures will work. If you want to have legs like oaks and a big chest, you need to set goals on those sizes and decide what is OK for you on body fat.
