If you could have an old muscle car, what would you choose?

i'm a big fan of the gsx. . .never got the respect and admiration that the chevelles, goats, camaros or even the cutlass's got. . .but they were badass automobiles and didn't require much magic to breathe fire

and compared to the over-rated goats, mustangs, firebirds and camaros, the buicks are quite the (relative) bargain!

seems like every time Buick came out with a great car, they'd stop production on it after a few years. Even in more recent years with their Grand Nationals.

In high school I had a 1972 Dodge Charger SE (with the hieaway headlights), with a 440 Magnum powerplant. Had new paint and new interior, headers and new exhaust. 70K original miles. Beautiful ride.

Thing had so much torque I had to chain the motor down to the frame to keep from breaking motor mounts (I had to change out 3 mounts in a very short period). I got a ticket for racing (reckless - reduced to negligent). I was whooping the shit out of a small block Mustang.

so it's now the current trend to resore a 60's/70's car with a paint job and interior that cost more than the car did new, then add assinine rims and tires that cost three times what the car did new?? these cars can't drive worth a shit with those wheels and tires.....
