Shogun was one of the very few books that I did not figure out until the very end. There was so many plot twist in that book it made you head spin.
I think I read all of James Clavell's books except Whirlwind.

All great books.
Tai pan, that was it.
Yeah, dude shogun was the shit. So many plot twists.
The movie was complete shit compared to the book though.
But yeah, how much did you want a shogunate lady like his woman.
Yeah great pick, Clavell is a flat out genius. A narrative pimp.

Movie was complete crap - how can you have Richard Chamberlain play that role??

The Harry Potter series....
No really, I'm being serious. If you haven't read them they are great, and much better than the movies. Depending on how often you read you could prolly finish the series pretty quickly. Also I hear that new series "twilight" is supposed to be good to.

He loves it, I never checked it out, but shit there's gotta be somethin there.

She spoke at the Harvard graduation. Dude, story was like unreal. I have mad respect for her after reading that shit.

Complex, complex read.
Never read it but dug the concept of energy transformation.
Also dug the absence of thinkers and creativity... thats a metaphor... I think, probably wrong though.

i can't believe i went out and bought more books when I'm not evan close to finishing the ones i already have. it was so nice out today, all sun and blue skies, complemented by a nice cool breeze. after treating myself to a caramel frappuccino(one of my favorites). it was sooooo good! anyways i was a bit jumpy after that little piece of heaven from Starbucks, so i headed over to our local book store again, which is just around the corner from starbucks. i forgot all about being hyper and jumpy when i stepped in, the place is awesome; just the right amount of light not too dim or bright, smells of old parchment, and musk or something, just a light scent wafting in the air, quiet and homey looking with them big comfy chairs. book stores have such a calming, soothing effect.
so i got---
"Chancing Destiny" by Eric Jerome Dickey, great urban writer. i read "drive me crazy" and it was def a page turner. great suspense.
"The Pact" by Jodi Picoult
"Song of Solomon" by Tonni Morrison, awesome author
"The Book Theif" by Marcus Zusak,
"Life of Pi" by Yann Martel
"Wild Seed" by Octavia Butler
"Full House" by Janet Evanovich, her books are so entertaining, laugh out loud and well written. i read most of her Stephanie Plum series.
