Which Athletes or any kind of Iconic figure did you identify with/lookupto growingup

I see alot of my own characteristics in a couple of athletes I looked up to growing up with. However, which athlete, musician, or any iconic figure did you idealize in your dome? U may embody some of the characteristics that they carried. I don't mean a killer cross over or a 4.34 40 either. You don't have to be like them at all, just list who you really idealized or dug on growing up. If it will bring back some nostalgic clomid type shit that causes you take a deep breath, shake your head, shit do it anyway, I won' tell.

Chris, MWM, will hit ya up, I'm multitasking... and Jnev has me rolling.

I'll get back to you on this one JNev. Gimme a minute.

I'll go first. John Starks and Andre Rison were two of my faves. I always dug on athletes who, in their head were clearly playing at a level higher than their peers. Reality may not have totally been on the same page. I didn't think this at the time, but now its pretty clear, I mean dudes were boiling with cockiness, confidence, and so self assured, but in reality they weren't all that special. However, their attitudes and self belief, IMO carried them to a level higher than their talent alone would have allowed them.

Remember that game when Starks dunked on Pippen and Jordan. Love it.
However I also remember when Starks went 3/19 from beyond the 3 point line in the 94 finals against the Rockets. Marv Albert kept announcing over and over, John, at some point, you have to stop shooting. It finally got so bad, Albert noted, For the love of God, someone has to tell John to stop shooting.
I dunno why I love that game as my favorite player in the NBA at the time, looked like a retarded douche, but it was just so funny to watch someone, despite the obvious 'feel' of the situation, that he should stop hoisting shit up, he kept on doing it.
I have had situations where I could hear, Marv Saying, 'At some point he has to stop shooting.' Fuck it, this next one is going in. Thats always been my attitude, and yeah, its not always right, but its also worked out magically at times too.
