I am still disheartened to find that phasors do not live up to their Star Trek reputation.

And orgo isn't necessarily a hard class or subject per se; just very time consuming and having lots of information to process, understand, and *gasp* memorize.

I'm surprised at how different O-chem is now versus 20 years ago. It appears to have shifted away from wrote memorization (but there is still plenty of it) and more toward mechanism, analytics and synthesis. By the end of the second half, the sheer number of reactions and mechanisms out there mean the number of solutions grow exponentially. Once you get into: "synthesize molecule X using organic reagents of 5 carbons or less and produce an excess of the R,S enantiomer with a minimal amount of E2 product." it begins getting what I'd think of as difficult.

Really? last time I went to the dentist a couple months ago, I got a script for 25 of them and it was only 14 bucks..... I have insurance but I dont think its really that good.......damn 7 bucks a pill?
