this was not a debate for being a vegetarian it was simply an observation of a film that as someone that eats animal flesh to be disturbing

but since you bring it up - i do believe that if most people had to hunt, trap and gut their own animal flesh for dinner they'd not be eating as much styrfoam/platic wrap flesh.

The site may plead for the extreme (a vegetarian diet in sympathy) which may not seem feasible to most of us meat eaters, but it's (somewhat fruitless)suggestion sure doesn't prohibit us from hoping for more humane ways of slaughter.

My soul would be soothed if we presented a simple thanks for one life giving way for another...it's not that hard. Our ancestors did it, and they be quite a simple people I've heard.

Here's the way I see it.....

Some people hunt big game, they dont care if it cries or whatever as it dies.

Some people hunt birds, birds make less noise if any when shot.

Some people fish, fish are even less like us, so it's easier to kill them

The extreme is vegetarian. Plants cant make any sound, or kick or try to run away. It's easier for people to kill.

I have no reservations over what I eat.

If the animal suffered, thats fine, I dont give a shit. As long as it didn't tense up too much to the point where its flesh was tough upon being slaughtered.

OK.. admittedly my agricultural knowledge is extremely limited. But did I understand correctly that these animal rights idiots said that, "The land and water is polluted by all of the animal excrement in these communities causing disease?"

Ummmm I thought that animal shit, manure, BIOMASS was used to FERTILIZE soil so that it would better crow crops?
