We are star stuff........

Who knows, perhaps the Hadron Collider will give us some insight into this god thing everyone talks about

We'll be lucky if we can get some more information on the Higgs boson. Will it be as easy as the W and Z bosons proposed by QED and discovered experimentally a decade or two later?

I still think the standard model has a lot of holes. Finding the Higgs boson would be an instant Nobel prize and a huge thing, but it would also create just as many questions as experimental verification would answer. It would definitely put us back on the right track for finding a quantum theory of gravity, though.

LOL, we kinda have a habit of doing that dont we? I like it though. I hope we never figure EVERYTHING out (I dont think we can, either.)

I don't think that's possible in the next few thousand years, luckily. :D

The standard model's pretty good... but all those quantum theories of gravity and string theories attempting to unify everything seem more like a fun exercise than anything. I mean, it's great we're advanced enough to postulate such things, but there are so many unanswered (or unanswerable) questions coming out of these things that they seem shaky. Definitely interesting, but certainly no general relativity.
