Yes and they shouldn't ever rebuild in CA where they keep having forrest fires or landslides. They should never build in the midwest in tornado alley, and they shouldn't rebuild all the places where they keep having these bad winter storms! Come on bro....

In places where shit gets messed up all the damn time, damn right there shouldn't be any public funds to rebuild. Nobody is FORCING people to live there, they're there by choice...because places like Florida and South Carolina and California have great climates. Thing is, if you want to play and enjoy that sun-kissed lifestyle, you should have to pay when things go bad repeatedly.

First of all I never got any money or help from the Feds or state so I have all the right to live and rebuild all I want in NOLA! Then you're a Canadian so it doesn't matter what you think about the US Policies and public funds!

I'm leaving tomorrow (to sit in traffic).

I'm leaning towards going to Huntsville, Al, but I'm also considering Searcy, AR ... that's where we went for Katrina.

Yes this is such a pain in the ass and it's a scary feeling to wonder if you left something behind that you may never see again! I really don't know what I would do and how I would get through it if I lost my house and stuff again!

So the guy on the news channel last night described New orleans as a "cereal bowl and you pour milk into it and there is no where for the milk to go" Well if that is the case then why try to continue to rebuild there? Why not just leave it be? Seriously I would not rebuild and live there.

LMAO!!! At least the gas prices are lower it was nice only paying $3.52 a gallon for gas on my trip to Houston. My Mom and some family is at the Holiday Inn in Pensacola.
