How do you backup your DVD's?

ie: big 6.7GB ones?

I only have 4.7GB DVDs so they won't fit on them.

Do I have to buy special DVDs that have more storage?

What about 'source-protected' DVDs?

Shrink won't copy 75%(yes I pulled this figure out of my ass) of the new movies out there. It had its place in dvd copying history, but that time has passed. I've moved onto DVD Fab Platinum and have yet to have a movie I couldn't copy. Look for dual layer disks if you want the entire disk copied.

I don't guess the regular Roxio CD/DVD software that came with the burner will do it?

dvd fab good too, were you using the latest version of shrink? I know they come out quite often.

There hasn't been any update to shrink in a few years. You can get it to copy new dvd's if you use AnyDvd along with it. The only catch to shrink is that you can't copy an entire disk it original form. It will only shrink to files, ie: no 1:1 copies. You can get ahold of dvd decrypter as stated above and use it with AnyDvd if your looking to copy the entire disk. I have used both programs in the past and loved them. But DVD Fab is a one stop shop for me now.
