Thinking about training first thing in the a.m., how does this affect the bodies state, going to be on a test e cycle. Is this a good or bad idea , my 1st cycle. It would be on an empty stomach aside from a coffee.

I think you would be able to get cut and/or stay lean.
There is debate about consuming bcaa throughout your workout and up until you actually break your fast to preserve muscle but I don't know if I agree with that. Some say bcaa can affect your fast as well, that's if you are looking to incorporate IF anyway...
I usually prefer to train mid-morning or early afternoon.. I feel stronger and more awake once I've gotten a couple of meals in me. However, there have been times I had to workout first thing in the morning, and once I adjusted to it I still made good progress. When I did train early I just had coffee and some BCAA's during the workout and ate once I finished.
