I want story lines of pin pushing, hallucinating, booty selling, angry, suicidal, broken soul individuals as they hopelessly spiral into the great abyss of despair which is otherwise known as their daily lives

I never watched the show, but according to this amusing clip, the inflation of self esteem and downward spiral of today's young adults is Mr. Rogers.
