i think a better option would be to have a uniformed cop in every school...sure he couldn't be in every classroom at the same time, but the response would be quicker than calling 911.

There really isn't much we can do if someone is dead set on shooting kids they will it doesn't matter if every gun is outlawed or if every gun is legal if someone wants to do it they will we just need to accept it and try to do whatever logical thing to prevent it

Most CA schools have both uniformed and plain clothes cops on campus at all times. Only elementary and preschool doesn't. The reality is that if someone wants to shoot up that school, they're still going to get a lot of kids before the school cop can react. I live near a high school with almost 8000 kids attending. It would be pretty difficult for a couple school cops to stop any tragedy there quickly.

lots of metro schools in this country have cops, metal detectors and dogs...every city school in pittsburgh does...people move to the burbs (where the schools don't have all those things) to be safer.

i don't think you're ever going to see guns outlawed...just like you're never going to see abortion outlawed...however, i do think you are going to see some changes to the laws aimed at making it more difficult for crazy people to get guns and changes that will make it difficult for all of us to get certain kinds of guns...you can argue with me all you want but, like i said, the nra ain't got enough money to polish this turd.

prior to april 19, 1995, no one would have believed that you would have to be registered with the federal government and subject to regular and surprise inspections by the atf and the bureau of homeland security, just to be able to buy ordinary farm fertilizer...but one man (timothy mcveigh) and one incident changed that shit for good...and ammonium nitrate is a HELL of a lot more innocuous than glock g38.
