Why is strongbow banned

Nobody was banned...he is on a timeout...im not telling who did it...if the Mod that wants to explain, then i will let him deal with it....

Bro with all due respect I think I honestly can. Between my grand father, my father and my service to my country I have earned the right to say what I think and I will. This is my point thou, if you act like a decent human being I would never call you a nigga, spick, wetback or whatever. Thing is I say what comes to mind, you act the part i'll call you on it. You live in Canada dude, whens the last time you took your 9 year old daughter to the grocery store to buy groceries and she had to listen to 5 wanna be thugs with their gangsta rap turned up in the parking lot dropping F bombs with ever other word? That's my point, you think I'm gonna let that go, no damn way. Did I ask nicely the first time to turn that shit off and watch your mouth, Yes. Did I ask nicely the 2nd time hell no. Did I get my way hell yes I did, they left with a busted ass radio and their saggy ass britches with my boot print in the ass of em. How many good people black and white had to subject their kids to that shit before somebody took a stand. I love to have fun and would do anything to help a person, but I do not fucking play bro about certain things. And i would never stand around in public swearing and disrespecting people or their kids.
 
Offcourse that's not right dude...but just because some black people are wannabe gangsters with their pants sagging off their ass sippin 40s and smoking weed doesn't mean every black person is like that. First week in Canada, fresh off the boat, I get held up outside of Premier fitness on burnhamthorpe by a 20 something yr old black wanna be gangster. I take the gun out of his hand and beat him with it. Gave him 13 stiches. He went to the hospital beat to shit. He had three broken bones in his face and needed reconstructive surgery. I almost went to jail for excessive violence. The dude had me at gun point and I almost went to jail because he was the one in the hospital. Fucked up laws much?

Moral of the story, just because a black man did that to me first week in canada, doesn't mean i'm going to be racist against all black people in canada...it couldve been any race, just happened to be black.

I understand what you are saying bro and I agree, I have many many black friends who I love dearly and are great people. But they too will tell you if it looks like a rat, squeals like a rat and shits rat turds, its prolly a rat. I've only told one person here this but since we are sharing, I will share with you a story and something I live with everyday. I'll just stick to the main points. Check point right on the out skirts of Baghdad, lots of civilians coming through, nothing unusual. Kid hops out of the back of a truck, no more than 10 years old. Plays around the outside of the truck, while the people inside the truck are checked for clearance. Kid begins walking towards a couple of armoured squads that are there just outside the check point. Marine hollas for the kid to stop, he doesn't, marine hollas again, he doesn't stop. Sgt in my squad stands up and walks toward the kid tells him in Arabic to stop or he will be shot and draws down on the kid. The kid never stops Sgt freezes I stand up and at about 10 steps am forced to shoot the kid. Women jumps from the truck and runs toward the kid, she is shot and killed, truck tries to advance through the post, driver and two more passangers shot and killed. Kid was carrying 10 pounds of explosives. They just happened to find a couple of Recon teams and decided they were gonna take them out. If I had seen that kid as just a kid, and went to play with him or allowed him to advance any further a shit load of good kids and good wives wouldn't have a father or a husband to come home to. I've seen so many times our soilders playing in the streets with kids over there, it makes you smile. I've also seen a shit load of good kids, fathers and husbands ripped to fucking pieces because they hesitated to take action. First time I deployed my father told me it's better to be remorseful than dead. I've spent many a sleepless night wondering if that was in fact true, then i wake up and my baby girl is so happy to see her daddy, my son comes to me when he needs advice on running the football or the new bitch at school, I know the Colonel was right indeed. My daddy was a hard ass man, we had a sign up on our property line that said Trespassers will be shot, Survivours will be prosecuted. His many sayings I take with me, my two favorite are Pain is good for your Soul and You can find sympathy between shit and syphallus in the dictionary. Thanks for sharing with me your story, but life teaches each in diffrent ways, It has taught me to trust noone and react first be apologatic if I'm wrong. I'm usually right thou.

Here's a few points:

1- Out of context. War is a special kind of circumstance, you can't compare that to an everyday situation.

2- I understand thet you are a soldier just following orders, but the whol right / wrong thing here is very subjective. Your country invaded another country. The foreign country has the right to defend itself from invasion...when a US soldier dies because he's invading another country, he's called a hero. What about the local dude who's fighting back to make sure his wife and children still have a home to live? he's called a terrorist, NOT a hero...like I said reeeeeeal subjective.

3- I'm not taking anything away from you, I'm just saying this whole "American fuck yeh" attitude if why half the world has problems with Americans...Afghanistan, Iraq, Nam, etc...always invading countries for one dumb excuse after another.

Combat is not all guts and glory.

9/10 times, the enemy is going to retreat and you merely secure the area, you don't go all Rambo and slaughter a village with a pickaxe. The average infantry E-5 Marine had killed less than 2 people. That's a real statistic.

I deployed multiple times to Afghanistan during my service and even as a machinegunner in the Helmund Province, the biggest shithole in Afghanistan, I only ever had to directly take the lives of 4 people. IED's are the biggest concern, not some unprotected fucker with an AK walking out in the middle of the road.

War is not what you see on tv. It's a job just like any other, and there are very few dramatic points to a deployment.
