Another good example of wealthy people feeling they are invincible. Entitlement issues! Not the driving drunk part, but the part about not owning up to being a scum bag! I'm sure many reading this have driven drunk or tipsy, I know I used to, but to act like a bitch about it after you hit someone, that's sad!

How about people who drive drunk with their kids in the car.......messed up

a friend of mine from the gym is from a well-to-do family...they own a large, well-established manufacturing business...he's a few years younger than me (early 40's) beautiful wife, 3 kids, mini-mansion.

he has an older brother...about 8 years ago the older brother was driving home drunk from a bachelor party, fell asleep, crossed the center line and had a head-on collision with 2 other drunks that were driving home from the bars...he lived, the other drunks died...he just finished his 7 year prison sentence about 2 months ago.

last saturday night my buddy was driving home drunk from a bachelor party (sound familiar?) and he jumped the curb and ran over a 21 year old girl that was walking down the sidewalk...(according to eye witnesses) he stopped, got out, saw what he had done, got back in his truck and drove off...then he ditched his truck in a parking lot (in front of a security camera)...then he called the police and reported his truck stolen.

the girl is still alive but she has 2 broken arms, 2 broken legs, a broken pelvis, broken ribs with a punctured lung and kidney, and a skull fracture with bleeding on the brain.

fucking ponderous, man.

I'll say this. People have an incredible capacity for doing good in the world. But it seems more often than not, they also have the greatest capacity on earth for being the most stupid, pathetic beings on earth.

the reckless drunk drivers in question are loaded (no pun) and happy people don't get shit-faced then get in a car and kill people...habitual, excessive drinking/substance abuse is a symptom of unhappiness...you can just as easily kill youself when you're fucked up...and happy people don't wanna die.
