Took the gf to see Les Miserables at the Fox Theatre tonight, booked a room at the Georgian Terrace hotel across the street. Just ordered room service, gonna chill for the evening.

DUDE!!! I live a few blocks from where you are right now, lol. The Fox Theatre is hardcore.

A word of advice, there's usually tranny hookers standing around the Georgian Terrace at night. Watch out.

Les Mis is great. I saw it here in Tampa a month or 2 ago.

Kind of good for people not in to musicals because it's not one of those hokey, corny kind of ones.

I tear up every time Gavroche gets shot. :(

Yep. This room is huge. separate kitchen, public room, circular bedroom.

Lol If you really were, Gavroche is such a minor character. He really has no part in the story line almost at all, they just throw him in there for some "aww" moments. I really didn't ruin much.

Rock of ages was great. As was book of Mormon, young Frankenstein, and avenue q.

Worst was the spider man musical. It had an awful story that didn't make sense, and dumb acrobatics. Supposedly the shows revamped, but I doubt I'd blow another $300 on it.

(All shows seen on broadway in NYC)

I am dying to see book of Mormon. It is sold out 6 months in advance. Hard to make the trip to NYC to see it without the tickets. I will pick one up on the fly next time I am in town for something else.

Would love to see Young Frankenstein (frankansteen) as well. Thanks for the recommendations.

Rock of Ages
Wicked
Grease
Rent
Godspell
Jersey Boys

Fuck, Legally Blond is even more entertaining that Les Miserable.

And... don't think I went to a shitty show - I saw it in London.

Ugh. I hate Grease and Rent is atrocious. That show only got popular bc it's creator died opening night. Fact.

Yeah - take the rent music and the Les Mis music and see which you listen to more.

I don't own the Rent soundtrack. I don't think it's a bad musical, I just think its grossly overrated.

I do actually listen to the Les Mis soundtrack on occasion.

Nope I just like the music better. I listen to Wicked and I never did any songs from that at school or competition.
