and there is seriously almost nothing
I remember last year at this time there were a million

economy going further in the shitter?

paramedic license has been expired for more than a year..I let it lapse (still have the degree obv but would have to do clinicals and testing again)

and I guess peeps didnt catch where because of the injury Im working from home assigning the internet leads for the dlrship to other sales people....I make 25 bucks if they actually sell the car nothing if they don't
without any salary...and I didnt earn a dime for three weeks

when I was working at the dlrship in person I was making on average 200 bucks a car with a 300 a week salary for 56 hrs a week
daycare is around 500 a week (and that was a bargain) so you do the math
I was also selling an american product I don't actually like myself with poor gas mileage in an affluent area where bmws and benz are our hondas and toyotas

I got moved to dodge because they needed me....and I really got fucked in the end by taking the position
I should have stayed with the exotics

Job market sucks these days. If it weren't for my navy retirement and VA income I would be screwed. The good thing is I make more than a full time job without stepping foot out the door. I know this info doesn't help you in your search for a part time job but im in the same boat because im not satisfied with what I have. You have to keep looking and keep applying and eventually something will hit. maybe go back and do your clinicals and whatever you need to do and get back into being a paramedic. It may be what you need to do. Cant you just be an EMT for now until you get what you need done for a paramedic? I thought the qualifications for a medic was not that hard and you should already have that. good luck.

Indeed, an attractive woman can make good tips bar tending; No shame in serving others, that's pretty much the point of every business.
 
Not sure where you live or how rentals are there, but in a city where they are lots of rental properties, you can work as a Rental Admin. Renting the properties, checking reference of potential renters, collecting the rents monthly and maintaining the properties.
We used to hire a woman to do it, but now I do it for our properties.
You can make decent money if you rent and maintain many rentals a month.

I have no bartending experience or TIPS cert ...everything Ive seen around wants experience..ditto for serving..Id do either

funny you should mention that blueta..its something I've applied for because I have a lot of experience with rental laws in my state..I used to own a cpl of multi family homes

I wasn't gonna get the chance again to have my house completely gutted and started from scratch so we went with a little nicer stuff on the things that would be hard to remodel
left me a little broke



the husband collects va bennies and is tapping his gi bill again this summer..
I really just want my own meager paycheck to pay odds and ends and not feel like I have to budget so tightly
we have about 36k in debt I'd like to pay off within two yrs
 
you do have the goods for bar tending though. i am sure if you went to some bars that have lots of action and applied in person they would train you
 
ya..maybe I'll start doing that..honestly that would work out best for employment at the moment

I wouldnt need a sitter, and Im up late as hell usually anyway no matter how much I try to move my schedule around

it costs you like 90 dollars or something like that to be able to serve alcohol, you'll do an online test...then you get a job at a busy bar and you'll make $300 on fridays and saturdays between tips alone, add minimum wage to that and you've got your part time job.

Well I graduated, got licensed and had patients I was even part of the select team of psychologists in the country that performed mental health evaluations for gun permits, so I was a psychologist I'm just not one here. :(

Well those gun control tests where only $50 pe test and I only randomly got people for them, it is almost impossible to live just as a psychologist since the charge per hour is $50, I'd have to have people lined up across the block to make a decent living, I came here looking for a better life, I dont have it yet but I'm getting there, I have my own house with a lot of space and a pool, a nice car (08 HHR > 96 geo tracker/98 GMC Jimmy) I actually have some money left at the end of my paycheck and I get to eat a little better, have access to better healthcare and other things I didnt have in CR, and I have all this with just a shitty $12 an hour job.

Yesterday I practiced parking so I can get my damn license, still need more 3 point turn practice though... once I drive things will get better job wise, it takes time, I've only been here 2 yrs
 
well husband works too, same company same salary, as pick3 said our friend did help us buy the house, he bought it cash and I pay him, but I still have a mortgage and all.

I'm a mechanical engineer. These days I'm an engineer by title only. I basically point out other engineers mistakes and oversee projects. I worked on a contract for UAV's for a company here in San Diego for a long time though.
 
the other halfs work just changed his title to Engineering Coordinator or some other such shit.. basically babysitting other Engineers projects to make sure theyre completed on schedule and outline their test procedures and their presentations to clientele

I think they freaked he told them he was lookin at the state police exam
 
nah..he can get credit for time served in the military...and a lot of our cops have advanced degrees so theyre not young guys
a cop I used to work with was a firefighter until he was 39 then went state trooper
he was a pretty cool dood ..always kept my ass out of shit anyway..probably should have stayed a FF cuz he was just a nice guy...truth be told all the regular cops I used to work with were pretty cool peeps

looks like the other half is rethinking the whole thing anyway (thank god)
