I had Lyme disease, got it stopped before it got too bad. Also had thyroid cancer. Didnt spread and caught it in time thank god. I always say its better to be lucky then good any day.

What did you take for Lyme disease to stop it?

Nan, lyme can only be stopped if one is diagnosed in the first few weeks after infection. Dr's have to follow the treatment guidlines and give Doxy for 3 weeks. which is proven is not long enough and should be given for 8 weeks.
If lyme is not treated, it then becomes chronic and is close to impossible to treat alone with abx.
This is why there is a huge controversy on lyme and so few LLMD's (Lyme literate dr's) in North America. Many dr's can lose their licenses if they rx abx for chronic lyme.
I'm a Lyme Literate Practitioner and my specialty is lyme actually. Most of my clients have lyme disease.
My Lyme was diagnosed years after infection, so it took me years to become well from it. And still, I have symptoms

Complicated illness actually.

I had an esophageal yeast infection. The 'thrush' the nurse practitioner saw she confused with strep even though I tested negative for strep caused her to put me on antibiotics which was not a good thing. I was in so much pain I couldn't even drink water. I was 20, I lost 15 lbs in two weeks.

;)

Ugh, giving abx when someone has thrush! How messed up is that.
Did you ever figure out the reason for the thrush?

See blue this might be why other posters dont like you, I hope u take this as constructive criticism and not an attack:
No one asked you, I asked the poster what HE took for treatment and you come in here to reply to me with this long winded post and telling me about lyme disease and how it's diagnosed, first of all I already know that, hence why I didnt ask what it was, second if I asked him a question I expected HIS answer, no one asked you about the disease, how you got it or what you do for a living... Sorry I dont mean to be harsh and I did read your entire post
