He was my last boss when I still worked retail.
He always had it out for me, even had the company HR after me to get me fired. He was a person that was never really happy and would pull you into his shitty existence.
Even when I said I was leaving and starting my own company he was quick to tell people I would fail. He of course was wrong and I have accomplished a lot since than, in that time I have gone on with my life and I no longer hated him as much. Instead I felt sorry for him and how he was not in great health (only 33 but a shitty diet that his doctor warned him about) and always stressed out.
I even friended him on FB shortly before his death. Even though we never spoke, I remember he liked a post of mine. I know many people he fucked over in that shitty retail lifestyle and I don't see all that many people remembering him. I see some, but not as many as you would think considering all of the mutual friends we had. He was found on the floor in his bathroom after the police knocked down his door.
No definitive reason for his death has been given yet.
I would have happily offered him dieting advice, but he couldn't do that. We worked in a very big store with close to 100 employees and he was afraid of giving me power.
Really silly, that kind of attitude contributed to his death I think.
He was a rotten person to work with, but he wasn't an idiot.
More like emotionally challeneged in my opinion.
He was a black man that grew up in a shitty neighborhood on long island (where howard stern is from) and I think being black and from that neighborhood gave him some sort of inferiority complex.
People who are not comfortable in their own skin tend to have all sorts of issues, he was perfect example of that. I, like many others also think he was gay but never had the balls to announce it to the world.
