1st cycle in over 20 years

MMA Guy

New member
I am a 41 year old male with a shoulder and neck injury. I used to be a competitive martial artist and currntly own a small gym and a couple martial arts schools with Crossfit. Dr has recommended moderate weight lifting to help shoulder & neck

I am going to do a cycle to hopefully help with my shoulder and neck issues to get me back coaching and training mma. I also wish to put on some nice muscle mass. I do not care about becoming huge or extremly strong, just want to be healthier & stronger. I am currently 5'10" and 175lbs w/ athletic build for a 40 year old. I have only done 2 cylces in my life and I was in my early 20's, I had great results from the cycles. I was doing about 2cc a week of test a week and some dianabol back then.

Currently I have 1 bottle of Dianabol, 200/ea 25 mg pills and one 10cc bottle of testosterone Enanthate. I wish to ask if anyone has any andvice for my cycle and what else I should buy. From reading this site I assume I need 2 more bottles of test for sure.

Thanks in advance,

I would run the test twice a week spaced like Mon and Thurs for 10 weeks. You can kickstart that with your D-bol. Should be a nice mild cycle and some great strength gains IMO. Get your PCT lined up before starting and get some Arimidex on hand for any estro sides that may pop up and you should be golden.

Me also in being in mma, i would say your in shape but because of the injury i have to ask whats your current workout schedule. how long have you been on it. Your cardio should be on point. Im not really concerned with this but i want to make sure its in oreder before anything else. now for the cycle. test e is slow so you dont have to use it as often, but alot of people reccomend running the test for a longer period of time that what you have supply for. Now you want to make sure you have your supporting supps and pct before you start the cycle. or do you already have these?

Tjhank you Ranger11b

I am in ok shape (not even close to competitive shape like I was before injury over a year ago). I do plan to lift and do cardio for a month before I begin my cycle. I will definately get the PCT & Arimidex per your recomendation.

I have supplments such as amino acids, whey protein, protein shakes and bars, and fat burners (wife is personal trainer). Are there any other supplements your recomend?

Hey bro...I an a mma fighter as well. I would possibly suggest getting something for estrogen control such as Forged Bromo. Also, do you have HCG or HCGenerate to run during cycle? I am againts dbol because the issues it creates with back pumps and general fatigue when I box and grapple. For PCT you could run Forged Post Cycle. I would then get Brdige to run after you complete everything to help maintian gains.

Thank you Striker1992. I am researching to find out what HCG, Forged bromo and Brdige is.

Go too needtobuildmuscle.com for HCGenerate and Bridge.

Go mrsupps.com for the bromo.

If you want to over I have discount codes I can give you.

test e and dbol is a great cycle. have a good anti estrogen on hand.

what was the injury?

you mean vial of test right? you wrote bottle, i hope you aren't talking about those scam bottles you see being pushed on bb advertising mags.

good luck but i dont understand why you don't want to be big and strong, but you want to put on muscle mass, it doesn't work like that my friend. you want to weight lift to help your neck, i am assuming to strengthen your muscles. you do not need roids to lift weights... you can just go with supplements for now, no need to juice at all here, AAS will not repair your neck and shoulder injuries, they could make them way worse though.

I will suggest some creatine.. it will help and it isn't as strong as AAS, nor does it come with the sides of AAS. that would be perfect for you.. you can grab a whole bag of the stuff from NTBM and it will last you months

AAS is not a magic pill that you wish for something and take and you get it granted. I'm sure you are aware of this but saying you do not want to get big and strong, but you want muscle mass is unrealistic. if you put on muscle mass you WILL get bigger and stronger.. it comes with the territory. and trust me, guys like me bust our ass day in and day out in the gym to manage to build muscle even with AAS, its just not that easy.

i've seen a lot of these types of threads lately and then guys juice and then a couple months later or even a week later come back and say "i have gyno, should i stop taking dbol" or "i have no libido, help" or " shutdown after 2 months of tren, deca, test, drol.. what did i do wrong?"

just make sure you know what you are getting into before you do it. good luck with your MMA, definately keep in touch with stryker who also is a big MMA and JudoTom also

Thanks for the excellent info everyone, this is a great forum!

@ Judo Tom - I have two slipped disks in my neck (C4-6). At this point I am able to live with the neck injury. If it gets worse I can get steroid shot or a level 1 fusion surgery (2nd slipped disk not that bad).

I also have a partial tear in my labrum shoulder muscle and rotator cuff issues. I just received a steroid injection in my shoulder yesterday by my Dr, if that does not work then the shoulder will get scoped, if that doesn't work then shoulder replacement is next. Dr recommended me to get back to weight training to strengthen all muscles. I'm trying to avoid surgeries.

These injuries retired me from competition and are preventing me from MMA training. They have also made it hard for me to instruct my students. 28 years of martial arts, Marines training and other things have taken a toll on my body.

I would love to get bigger and stronger. I just meant that I don't desire to look like a pro bodybuilder and have a 500 pound bench press. At my age (41 this month) my test production is down, I figure a cycle a year would help me and give me a kick start and keep me healthier.

I am doing the weight lifting exercises I can with moderate weights. I am lifting light weights very cautiously in exercises around problem areas.
