What are some things you DON'T take for granted,,

calveless wonder

New member
Kinda the reverse of lartinos thread.

Something you really are thankful for every day, pretty much consciously.

Oddly enough, for me, it's having a full head of hair. Seeing people i haven't seen in awhile, and noticing they're bald/balding, really instilled that into me. or even people that i meet or see that are younger and balding.

i take a lot for granted, but i don't take that for granted.

That I have a girl who loves me even through hard times. To bad im hiding Aas from her

I don't take the people who work for, volunteer with or donate to my NPO ever. I'm lucky enough that someone is often donating or doing something awesome to help my cause and I'm very consciously thankful for them all every day.

My GF comes to mind. When I was a little younger I didn't always appreciate whatever GF I had at the time even if I should have. Now that I have someone that doesn't have the flaws of the past girls, also seeing how few girls are actually GF material, it makes me appreciate what I have. If I screwed up this relationship I would take it hard.

For the record, I look forward to your stories about how you screwed this up and how she's cheating on you. ;)

Lol, We're coming up on two years together now and have been living together all but 3 months. She just turned 21 last week, so far so good.

That is weird, for some reason she crossed my mind this morning as I was getting ready...IDK what triggered it but the random thought about that thread where she was trying to get or use a fake ID for something in Vegas popped in my head. I wondered if she had turned 21 yet. Then I hop on here and read this. :)

I'm balding so I got the poor man's bosley. A shaved head. But some of the things I don't take for granted are my family, new job, house and car. And my studly built bod. fasho.

I just ride choo choo trains. Going to be an engineer ASAP. I may have to wait 2 years unless there is a need and nobody want to move up. Plus the company pays for teh flght and hotel for 2 weeks in SLC Utah. I can hang out with Jnev.
