Milk or Protein Shake???

Thinking Man

Hello Guys,

This may seem like a silly question but is there really any great benefit in consuming a protein shake rather than ordinary milk?

Milk has slightly less protein than a shake. Milk is also majority casein proteins and slower digesting than a whey. Ideally u'd want a combination so whey in fat free milk. Although if ur cutting then u'd just stick with whey in water to reduce the amount sugar from the milk.

I used to be all about milk.. Cut it out of the diet completely & never been in better shape.. Only dairy i consume is fat free greek yogurt.

Milk has way less protein than a shake. Milk is about 30-35g of protein per liter. Protein shakes (as I make them anyways) are around 100g of protein per liter.

I buy lactose free milk. Could always do half fat-free lactose free milk and half water with scoop of whey....for least calorie purposes though it would benefit to use water and protein powder... but I find the milk mix more tasty.
