Expired Protein bars??

Is it safe to eat expired Protein bars?? If so, how long after the expiration date are they unsafe to eat?? thanks

I have eaten hundreds of expired protein bars over the last year. Supplement places often sell them for 50 cents a bar or like $5 for a box of 12 instead of the usual ripoff 20 to 25 a box. They are fine as long as they are only 3 months or less expired, which they usually are. Dont write them off cause most supp companies put the expiration date months before the bars actually go bad, dont pay top dollar for supplement bars caus ethey are a ripoff unmless they are on clearance

Depending on the brand, protein bars are good for 3 to 6 months after the expiration date. I suggest you call up the company, and ask them, just to be on the safe side.

so 3-6 months is the rule of thumb on protein bars? What i mean is they don't lose vitamin and protien potency?
