NYPD Medical (Drug Screening)

Morning Guys:

I will be taking my (Mini Medical) for the NYPD tomorrow morning this would be my last step for becoming a Police Officer:

At this time a Hair sample will be taken form me for drug screening.

I last used Omnadren about 11 weeks ago. And have been clean of any roids since.

My question is does the NYPD test for steroids and if so would I test clean given the above information

absolutely, positively, NO they will NOT test you for juice..trust ME ;)

trust me they dont test for juice, it is VERY EVRY expensive..its not part of the routine check up you get before going into the acedemy...they may say they are testing for juice as well as many other things but they arent....the dr told me they dont test for juice and all they do is look for elevated liver enzymes and kideny values and then maybe that can raise an eyebrow...but when i was tested i was on a cycle and told the dr i was on creatine and andro and i was also doing no carbs so my blood tests were all whacked and hes like "its obviously the pills and diet you are on, and no steroids, so not to worry"

No they do not. Don't even worry yourself about it. Worry about getting through the psych. You don't like football. Just baseball. Your favorite color is Blue, not black or red. Good luck on the job.

I know for a fact Peace officers in NYC are not tested for gear unless a boss is a prick and wants to burn you.

Believe me or not, I really don't care.
 
BTW - Being an obvious juicehead will also most likely get you tested. I don't mean someone that weight trains and has some muscle, I mean obvious - freaky huge, backne, you know what I'm talking about.
 
they dont juice. I dont know a police dep. that will test for that. It's pretty expensive. And you know, they like the big tuff guys lol

LOL. It would surprise people how many fail this. When they ask you to draw a picture of a house make sure it's a happy one.
 
does anybody know if this still holds true for the hair drug test they give now? i might be going for it in the coming year or so and was just wondering. thanks
 
I know for a fact Chicago police doesn't test for juice, they are just looking for the usual crap, coke, pot etc... testing for gear way too expensive. My guess would be the same with NYPD,,good luck bro
 
they dont test for roids. I went for my mini medical two years ago. only thing they gave me prob about was my high blood pressure. good luck. hope you've been running alot.
 
why would anybody want to be a NY cop?
you got to have some high test levels to even consider that shit LOL.....just bein an ass.....good luck achieving your goal....K to anybody having the balls for that job. (maybe I watch COPS too much)

Steroid testing is expensive and each compound has to be tested for with a specific test. Most non-athletic organizations won't go to the trouble. They're much more concerned that you have recreational drug and/or psychological problems. And if you're really worried about the hair test, just get a really close haircut before the test.

They might give you a lie detector - IMO, you should be honest unless you know how to pass the test. :coffee:
 
You will have to pass a polygraph, they will ask if if you have ever used illegal drugs, steroids are a lot better than the other stuff they do care about, in other words if they ask you yes I have used steroids in the past, that is not a lie.
 
going in next year and would like to know if anyone knows if they still do not test for steroid use? only other thing i used was pot and that was last july 4th so i think im clear on that one.
 
Ronnie Coleman was or still is a cop. Mind you he is a cop that obviously commits a felony every day of his life when he shoots up or takes his handful of pills. Why dont they test his ass?

I tested NYPD and CT State Police. Smoked both. CT State had me take the polygraph too. What a FUCKING SHIT SHOW !!!! I'm no angel and I did my fun in high school and college so when they hit me with literally 1,000 questions asked every way to tuesday, they got my head spinning. Then they strapped me up and polygraphed my ass. If you have any history whatsoever, you'll walk out of there feeling like a broke down crumb of shit....unless of course you are a stone cold liar and could fool them and the machine.
 
After reading through this thread America is definitly painting a different picture! When joining the military (Marines to be specific) they don't test for roids. At least unless they have a reason too. I knew a fellow that went in with roid rage and he got kicked the first three weeks at camp. On the flip side I have 2 close friends over in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan right now. They all use gear. The hilarious part is they say it's far easier to acquire gear over there than it was over here in the states. Much cheaper too. They compared it to walking into a pharmacy in Juarez Mexico.

But hearing that most Police Academies don't test either well shit, that's like saying "As long as you can handle it roid up!"

The good ol' double edge sword here in the States. Gotta love America.
