Flavor of the Month, Flavor of the Week, Flavor of the Day
We all know things change for us, sometimes daily and who doesn’t like change?! We all know our body does!
So I thought lets take the time out to get to know each other, and maybe our SELF a lil bit better! For this week at least! Try to answer the questions in a 1st thing that comes to mind type way, relative to your current training. There is no wrong answer or wrong way to answer the question, interpret as you see fit...
I'll go first ...
(1) What is your favorite body part to train and/or Favorite Lift?
Shoulders look wicked when training them, but current fave lift I'm going with front squats & BB Bench.
(2) Why do you make it a point to train? What’s in it for you!?
I believe this lifestyle keeps me healthy & cancer free.
(3) Do you have a Favorite Meal? Lets hear it! Healthy AND the cheat preferences!
Healthy - Broc Rice & Chicken conctions with some Mrs Dash Seasoning & EVOO
Cheat - Blue Cheese Crusted Filet, Garlic Mashed Tato's, Red Wine, Cheese Cake
(4) Do you need to listen to music when you train? Why or why not?
Yes!!! Music helps me get in the zone and focus on my workout, not surrounding distractions.
(5) What do you like to listen to while training?
I think everyone should have Down with the sickness on the ipod (or portable player of choice) WHolly does that song get me goin! ... I have a blend of Genres, HipHop, Trance, Alternative, Metal, etc..
(6) Do you have an IPOD, walkman, MP3, etc?
The original ha-uge ipod and the nano I won from the profile contest!! WOO HOO EF!
(7) How many pills do you take a day?
Hmm today I will have about ~ 25 .. that will vary with food intake
(8) Do you have a favorite supplement? Vitamin? Top 3 & Why?
Supps:
Glucorell - has way more benefits than we realize
Cardio Breeze - if Im not burnt out that baby is wakin' my ass up in the morning
Purecee - I believe it does what it says it will
Vitamins
Vit C - I like to think it helps keep me healthy & when I'm sick
Cranberry - Gotta take care of my kids
Drawing a blank I don't have a #3 at this time
(9) What annoys you MOST about training?
Someone using a piece of equipment I'm dead set on using
(10) How many days a week do you train? Times a day? For how long?
Currently, 5 days on 2 off, Once a day (that may change if I add back in cardio in the PM), try to keep it under an hour
(11) How much cardio do you REALLY do?
Not as much as I need to be right now!! Cardiovascular endurance BLOWS!
(12) Do you feel bad about treating yourself to good food for a reward/cheat? Why or why not?
I use to b/c I thought it hindered my progress. Now I realize my body enjoys it and most likely will rip right through the cals … I also think it helps break a plateau sometimes
(13) What fast food restaurant/food do you prefer?
McDonalds Fries, Wendy Frosty, BK Whopper
(14) Beverage of choice? Regular and/or Alcohol.
Water, Sprite Zero, Red Wine, Kettle One/Grey Goose Vodka, Blue Moon or a GOOD beer from a brewery
(15) On a scale from 1-10 how competitive are you?
ugh closer to 10 than I need to be , always in competition with myself
(16) Receive compliments from other members/trainers/staff at the gym? Critique? How does it make you feel?
Yes. Feels great. I don't like when trainers tell me what to do b/c it's not his way of doing things. I've never had a female trainer comment negatively.
(17) What do you like to work out in?
BEBE & UA … My nike pants (I have at least 5 pairs of the same fit), terry pants from Victoria Secret (again have at least 5 matching sets with hoodies) and usually razor back tanks from VS as well (10+ of those) Top wise, whatever I feel comfortable in on that day.
(18) Meaning behind your tattoos, if any? What would you like to get? Why?
Strawberry – Cute, small, present from my best friend at the time when I was around 15. I love strawberries, also a symbol for strawberry blonde hair I had … may get it changed since the artist went too high on the hip. 4 leaf clover – Irish and for luck after my grandmother passed away. Next tat will be eastern symbols & also a lotus… I feel that flower totally represents my life.
(19) What would you change most about your gym if you had the final say?
The price, for each of them!!!
(20) Have you ever stopped to help someone, offer advice or your opinion without being asked? (i.e. think ¼ rep squatter/leg presser)
Yes, after discussing injuries with a ‘gym friend’, stemming from his improper benching & dipping, lay down on a bench, reach back, full McDonald arch to grab a weighted barbell with both hands and proceed to do skull crushers. I told him I better not EVER see him do that again after the conversation we just had… ouuu big tough bunny
