zoloft and as

I just started taking zoloft for mild depression. I don't plan on doing the gear for a few months. Does anyone know if this puts alot of strain on the liver? I think I am going to say fuck the zoloft which may have some really serious side effects on my mind in the long run. I will probably just hit up my first cycle in over a year. I would like to do both since the zoloft gives me piece of mind. Jay

Im not sure about zoloft, but when I saw a shrink a few years back she wanted me to have some blood work done prior to any meds. I then saw my gen pract. and she gave me serzone, but didnt really bring up anything of sides. All in all, I think they all tax the liver a bit, some more than others and I am sure is very dose dependant. They like to start low and gradually add iff needed on the antidepressants. I dont think I would mix em with gear, especially orals to be on the safe side..

Bro,

My wife worked on getting Zoloft approved by the FDA (amongst a billion other people). She says that at first it is very hard on your liver. Everday your liver "titrates" out the Zoloft. As time passes, it titrates out a smaller and smaller amount, puttin less stress on your liver. After a month or two your liver should be back to normal. I was on Zoloft and got my liver checked once a month for the first 6 months, but everything was fine. My wife said Zoloft AND roids was NOT a good idea if you are new to zoloft. If it's old hand and your liver is used to it, then you should be ok. Under no circumstances should you drink alcohol, though.

Good luck with the magic little blue pill!!!!

I was just on zoloft and switched to paxil-you just have to ask yourself how depressed you are-if it's mild, you don't need the zoloft-if it is major depression, take the zoloft and skip anabolics

Hey Bro:

I've been on Zoloft for almost 2 years now - it's been a lifesaver for me. It's a fairly mild drug. The most common side effects are headache and sexual problems, although both sides disappear after a while.

I wouldn't use any gear for the first 6-9 months to see how you react to it. Get you liver functions checked. If all is ok, once your body gets used to it I think you'll be fine taking AS. I agree with usersatch on that. I've not had any problems in the past and am mid-cycle right now with no problems whatsoever. Because of the potential for liver problems, I'm particular about what I take - and don't ever take orals, just injectables.

However, that's just me. You could be different.

If you have any other questions about my experience with Zoloft, send me an email. Like I said, it's been a lifesaver for me. Good luck to you.

I was on effexor for three years - a similar drug.

I began taking large amounts of inostiol (something I have posted about before - but if it works for someone else then I shall keep posting about it when I hear the anti-d words mentioned).

Inositol is a b-vitamin. Studies have found it to be more effective than anti-depressants. I can attest to that. I no longer take anti-d's and I feel happy again. The inositol has no side-effetcs and is natural. I also take a good b-complex. Incidentally, inositol works by improving the function of the neurotransmitters, serotonin etc...

Incidentally, any of you guys on anti-deps ever abuse caffeine? Just out of interest for a bit of research I am putting together for the college where I work...

www.biosychiatry.com/inositol

or just do a search in google for inositol, depression, panic, etc

Obviously I should have added that depression can have many causes and inositol will not work for everyone............

Be happy.

SSRI's are becoming old school except that the drug companies continue to push them because they are big $$$. Europe is much ahead of the fucked up American FDA...
For some they work well but, the side effects usually are much more pronounced -- especially a limp-dick and no interest in sex...
I suggest studying some of the new non-SSRI solutions that seem to offer greater/equal benefits w/o the side effects.
As for gear - any substance in the body may cause some added complications or parameters to the equation for solution...
However, IMO, do the gear as I have found nor heard any detrimental physical consequences to such a combination with anti-dep's...

Hell, the gear will probably make you feel better anyway.

BTW, most Doc's will give any Tom-Dick-or-Harry that says (s)he is depressed or down an anti-d. You probably would have a harder time getting a prescription for something like Tramadol (Ultram) or Ambiem - what a fucking joke...
