I believe bond is based relative to the amount of money he has available. They want to set the number so as it isn't convenient to just pay the amount and skip the bail.
Hiding that second passport + understating income = way bad mojo.

money plus a passport equals the ability to leave the country. the conversations suggest that he has at least considered fleeing the country.
consider this case boils down to Zimmerman's word versus a dead kid; his credibility is his entire case. there is a clear intent to deceive the law here. this looks really bad I don't care how you slice it. he obviously believes he's going to lose the case.
what do you think, B? clearly his attorney will try to have this episode thrown out as being too prejudicial. I think he will get it too.

What does this have to do with being white or not? Having a passport makes you a flight risk no matter what color you are. That's not profiling.
What does a passport allow you to do? Leave. What do we not want him to do? Leave. So you take away the options.

He was ordered to return by Sunday afternoon, 6:30a.m. and he still hasnt showed up...
LOLOL Orlando news station just sent me a "breaking news" sms stating as of 7a.m. Zimmerman still hasnt reported gonna have to change my sms settings to just weather and traffic if they're gonna send me no news as news 
In all fairness if I were told to go back at say 4pm Id be there at 3:59, why arrive early lol

I used to always be 5-10 minutes late for all of my previous jobs. My current job they don't fuck around, if they see you walking in at 10:00 am, you'll get your ass chewed out. 9:50 it is.

With lynch mobs (irony) like the new black panthers after him, as well as the courts not being allowed to do their jobs i'd have it in my head that fleeing was an option as well.
Fuck if he's actually guilty of the charge he stands accused of and no matter what move he makes he's going to be guilty of something or doing something wrong in the eyes of everyone who thinks he should fry.

He could also have been a concerned neighborhood watchman who got jumped by a kid who doubled back to fight him and ended up getting shot.

That's a possibility, but more likely he turned around and flanked Zim instead of going to the place he was staying.

At the end of the day, you don't know what likely happened and neither does anybody else. Zimmerman will get as much punishment as the evidence says he deserves, whether he did it or not. If the condemning factor was public opinion, Casey Anthony wouldn't just be out there chillin somewhere, no?

And your study doesn't need to be about black kids. You could post one about how likely teenagers are as well, since you know, the kid doubling back isn't the story you've decided probably happened, but what is actually likely. I'll wait.
