The music forum gets no play, so I thought I'd post it here. I dont think I could personally pick only 5, because I'm such a fan of the genre, but here are 5 of my personal faves (in no order):

BULLSHIT......LOTS OF BLACK FOLKS LISTEN TO EM.

KAYNE

Frackal, had no idea you were a Wu fan! Karma for you.
"ETW: 36 Chambers" and "Wu-Tang Forever" were groundbreaking albums. "The W" and "Iron Flag" werent the best but still had some good songs. I think RZA takes it too far sometimes with trying to be unique. "Triumph" is their all-time best, but "Reunited", "C.R.E.A.M.", "Bells of War", "Method Man", "Do You Really", "Tearz", "Visionz", "7th Chamber: Part 2", and "When the Fat Lady Sings" are all great tracks (there are too many to list), and you cant forget all the good Wu-Tang member solo songs (again, too many for my ass to type right now)...

KAYNE

EXACTLY, Kayne.

Look at Eminem, cableo...he's in a rap group with, get this, 5 BLACK guys. And with Dr. Dre as his producer, I'm sure there are many, many black people that listen to him.

Also, as for Kid Rock, most people dont realize that when he started his career, he was STRICTLY a rapper (and also toured with Ice Cube). No singing and shit. The more recent the album, the more that singing or rock has been incorporated with the album. Here is a list of his albums: "Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast" (1990), "The Polyfuze Method" (1992), "Fire It Up EP" (1994), "Early Mornin Stoned Pimp" (1996), "Devil Without a Cause" (1998), "The History of Rock" (2000), and "Cocky" (2001).

I could pick 100, but these 10 will do.

Tribe Called Quest - We Got the Jazz(this is pure beauty)
RZA- Tragedy(this man has flowage)
Organized Konfusion- Bring it On(one of the best verses by Pharoah)
The Pharcyde-Otha Fish(sings all of the verses, solid)
Mobb Deep- Apostle's Warning(deadly to the throat)
Killah Priest- Heavy Mental(paints a picture of the soul's future)
Jeru the Damaja- My Mind Spray (my my my my my my my mind spray)
Nas- New York State of Mind(gutter raw)
Del- Things You Can Do (lyrics galore)

IMO not one of Eazy's better songs, but still catchy... I'd say his best was "Boyz N The Hood" (For being one of the first and best gangsta story songs ever) and "Real Muthaphukkin G'z". He had lots of good songs though. It's a shame he died when he did.

I dont think I could pick just 5, but here are what I would consider to be their best:

Wu classics:
"Triumph", "Reunited", "C.R.E.A.M.", "Do You Really", "Method Man", "Chamber Music", "Visionz", "Protect Ya Neck", "Iron Flag", "Bells of War", "Always NY", "7th Chamber Part 2", "Tearz"

Get em all, it takes listening to the Wu for a while to understand their style, if you're new to it, as its completely different than any other rap.

As far as Wu solo joints, you should check these out:
"Judgment Day" & "Bring the Pain" - Method Man
"Winter Warz", "All That I Got Is You" - Ghostface Killa
"Breaker Breaker", "Liquid Swords", "Duel of the Iron Mic" - GZA
"Brooklyn Zoo", "Shimmy Shimmy Ya", "Got Your Money" - ODB
"The Chase" - RZA
"Uncontrolled Substance" - Inspectah Deck

"So what would yall say your style is?"
"Its our secret! Never teach the Wu-Tang"

mobb deep : shook ones pt 2, survival of the fittest, give up the goods, hell on earth, G.O.D. part 3, it's mine, quiet storm, i'm going out...their last album was garbage though, one or two good songs

jay z: brooklyns finest, i love the dough (yeah both have biggy), can i live, dead presidents 2, put it in the air (featuring M.O.P.), streets is watching, you me him and her, change the game, cant knock the hustle
