Buy a Dell desktop unless you need a laptop. Desktops are better in the long run.

id go with a laptop. you can still hook it up to a regular monitor if you need the bigger screen and use it like a desktop but also take it with you when you go on vacation and such. its great to have when you go to competitions too, sit in your hotel room and chat away on EF like we all do at the EF meet-ups.

laptops are really cheap now. Places like Bestbuy have great deals

Desktops are cheaper for the equivalent machine.

Keyboards / monitors / mice all easier to use. Easier / cheaper to fix / upgrade.

Don't get a laptop unless you need the portability.

Simple as that.

Portability = Laptop
Otherwise = Desktop
