Your take on my cardio routine...

I can only do traditional cardio for so long. It's boring as hell. This is what I've been doing for the past 2 wks. 4-5/wk.
I pick 7 dif. exercises and perform them w/o rest. That's 1 set. I rest for 60-90 sec. and repeat 3 more times.
1. squat 20-25 reps
2. dumbell bench press 20-25 reps
3. T-bar row 20-25 reps
4. military press 20-25 reps
5. standing barbell curls 20-25 reps
6. standing barbell tricep extension 20-25 reps
7. sissy squat 25 reps
This takes approx. 26min. and I'm exhausted as hell when I'm finished. Do you think this is just as effective as a treadmill or eliptacle for 30-40 min.? It feels way more intense. My goal is to get these fucking love handles gone. Just don't want to be spinning my wheels so to speak. Thanks in advance.

well, cardio is about getting your heart rate to go up and STAY up (for a certain amount of time, depending on steady state of HITT). Easiest way to do that is to start moving your large muscles (legs or back) to get that blood flowing.

curls? mil. press?

I personally would do 26 min of HIIT instead bro

ya trust me hiit is alot more fun than a steady paced jog i used to do a steady paced jog, it got really boring. You could even hit the heavy bag or a speedbag im sure that would be good as well.

it will work mate but try cutting your rest period!!! I have used weights as cardio to good effect but now like HIIT and steady state cardio alternated

Lets see what you're eating to help solve this problem...
A little history first...
I just finished a bulking cycle about 3 wks. ago where I was eating approx. 3000 cal./day. I've since slowly tapered down. I've lost about 12lbs. since then(mostly water from the cycle). Now it's getting hard. I've always done cardio, just upped it here recently.
A typ. day now would consist of:
Breakfast-egg, ham, and low fat cheese on whole wheat bread w/ 16oz. skim milk
or maybe peanutbutter and low sugar jelly on one pc. of whole wheat and 16 oz. of skim milk
Morn. break- hanful of almonds w/ a few dried cranberries
lunch- grilled chicken or fish w/ green beans or black beans or sweet potato
afternoon snack- low fat yogurt and 1 cup of skim milk, maybe substitute the yogurt for 2 tbsp of peanutbutter
Dinner-Some type of lean meat(more chicken, pork, or turkey) some type of beans, potato, or whole grain rice.
Also, I have a protein shake and 1 cup of dry cheerios pre-workout
Another protein shake post workout and banana
Cheat days would be w/ the family eating mexican(most of the time I'll just order a plate of grilled chicken and an order of re-friedbeans) but not always :worried:
BasicallyI'm trying to get around 500 cal. less than my maint. level. Maybe that needs attention.

You are doing a circuit training regimine. This is excellent if you want to build muscle endurance, and a little strength. For instance a firefighter would do well with this type routine.
