Your parents or friends ever tell you your getting too big?

I'm not even that big, and my family and some of my friends give me constant shit about my size. They keep saying I'm trying to become Tony Little (of all people!) and say how I'm getting fat, or too big, or too bulky - or too anything. No one appreciates that I'm working out everyday between lifting, cardio, and other outdoor hobbies. It's always, why are you getting so big? I'm seriously starting to get really tired of it, and even have told people not to say anything until they start working out as much as I am. It always starts back up again.

I'm 5'5 172 13% - and people still tell me I'm fat. Especially relatives (granted I come from an asian family where the average male is like 150lbs). I mean, seriously. As a result, I've cut my next cycle down a little, and have resorted to wearing baggy shirts around people to make it not as apparent (ah...until summer - then it's all over) . It's just really starting to get to me - and starting to effect my attitude in the gym.

Ahhh. I just had to vent a little. It's really frustrating. I mean, the only people I get compliments on for my lifts are mainly from people I don't know, or the regulars at the gym. Everyone else, people that really mean something to me, tell me I'm fat.

who are you doing this for? you or them?

my first cycle i shot up in weight and my grandmother would grab my arm and tell me "ripper, your getting FAAAT!" it does get really old after a while, but i just let it go.

people will give u hell to make themselves feel better when they see you getting big and ripped and their just a puny little fat-body

every chick i ever dated or date complains that im too big. so why the fuck are they with me? maybe when i hit 300, then they;ll leave me in disgust......and then i can find a nice girl .....aaahhhhh i can only dream

I get that from my parents and grandparents all the time.... girlfriend too.... Last cycle I was up to like 205, i'm 5'10, low bodyfat, and everyone I came in contact with said I was "overbuilt." Oh well... I'm happy with my build, thats all that really matters...

I get this too especially from my employees, when they see me...they question me constantly....they assume, I am on something and want to know what it is...talk about being annoyed!!!

I used to have this problem with my family. They would make fun of me for eating all the time and ask why I was "obsessed" with lifting and gaining weight. It took me a while to realize they were only doing it for the reaction. I started just smiling whenever they would say something and shrugging it off. Before long, it stopped because they realized that I "just didn't give a fuck".

I just tell them, "why would I want to look average???" No way I would want to look like everyone else walking down the street. Average people have no discipline, it's kind of obvious if they're all settling to look a certain way, WISHING they could look better when they're just too lazy to do anything about it.

Dude if its your family you just tell them politely that this it what makes you happy, just like how they enjoy sitting on their out of shape asses evnying someone they would have wanted to have been 30 years ago. hehehe. In all honesty man they just dont understand. I'm 5'6 around 160 and 9% and I told them i wanted about 10-15 more lean pounds and they were like "thats to big" "youll look like a fireplug" "a treestump". They just dont understand bettering yourself.
